Chromium missing from ODroid C2

Hi

I'm wondering why chromium is missing from the ODroid C2 image when taking the non-desktop image and then adding the necessary packages to get a minimal X working?

Planning to just build it from source, but wondering why it was missing from the core armbian distro?

Is there a reason?

It's missing because of few reasons. First is that our distro was initially oriented toward server scenarios and we started with desktop later. We provide some desktop oriented packages to support basic acceleration etc. on some boards and no more.

Second reason is that Chromium compilation is breaking and it's hard to finish it successfully. Especially on ARM while ARM64 is even more problematic. Nevertheless it's / it must be possible and it's on our wish list, but we didn't get there yet.

On next C2 desktop images we'll ship 32 bit Firefox (build by official Debian / Ubuntu maintainers) since 64bit is crashing. From our perspective, 32bit (generic, no HW acceleration) Chromium is good enough for start, but the binary source I found (Ubuntu), is not updating any more.

If you have a desire to play around and make a lot of people happy, just do it. We'll try to help as much as possible.
