I bought one of these RTC shields when I bought my C2. It seems to work as expected, i.e. I can set or read it with hwclock, /dev/rtc exists, etc.
You do need to follow the instructions on the hardkernel wiki, though:
http://odroid.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=en:pcf8563rtc
Basically, you enable it in /boot/dtb/meson64_odroidc2.dtb, add the aml_i2c module to /etc/modules, and add "hwclock -s" to /etc/rc.local
N.B., having just upgraded to 5.20, I needed to reenable it in the updated dtb file.
