  1. Hm, strange result: if i plug in only the USB Hub i get sometimes the error message, sometimes not. if i plug than the USB Stick into the hub i get sometimes the error message, sometimes not. So currently i plug in the USB-Hub with no error message, than i try to plug in the USB-Stick till i get no error message. And now the dmesg (after i plug in 2 more USB-devices): [ 0.399281] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs [ 0.403635] usbcore: registered new interface driver hub [ 0.407825] usbcore: registered new device driver usb [ 0.442458] [usb_manager]: CONFIG_USB_SW_SUNXI_USB0_OTG [ 0.446259] [sw_hcd0]: usb host driver initialize........ 3. I use HNP15-USB 5V 2,5A USB-Steckernetzteil 12,5W. Is this not enough?
  4. Here is another unsolved problem for me: I can only get my USB Stick to work if i plug it to to the onboard USB. If i use an USB-Hub ( tried different ones) it is not possible. There is no message coming up with tail -f /var/log/messages. If i try to mount: mount: /dev/sdb1 is not a valid block device I need more than two USB devices, so a USB Hub is important for me. I tried active and passive Hubs and off course different USB-Sticks. What can i do to solve this problem?
  5. System is Debian Wheezy. But right now after hwclock -w everything seems fine :-) I have to check a reboot later. So i will possible be back. Edit: Perfect, after a reboot the hardware clock and system clock match ! Thank you for your help :-)
  6. Thank you for your support! Here are the output. uname -r 3.4.109-sun7i dmesg | grep -i rtc [ 1.567554] sunxi-rtc sunxi-rtc: rtc core: registered rtc as rtc0 [ 3.468428] sunxi-rtc sunxi-rtc: setting system clock to 2021-09-26 17:55:49 ls -l /dev/rtc* crw------- 1 root root 254, 0 Sep 26 2021 /dev/rtc0 hwclock --test -D hwclock from util-linux 2.20.1 Using /dev interface to clock. How can i solve this?
  7. After a reboot of my cubietruck has the wrong date and time !? 26-Sep-2012 I updated the time with: sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata Select Europe and Berlin but nothing changed. Then i set the time manually. That worked but can not the deal. What is wrong with my cubie? hwclock: select() to /dev/rtc0 to wait for clock tick timed out: No such file or directory ntpq -p: ntpq: read: Connection refused In the moment i have the correct time, becaus i set it manually, but the wrong date :-( Edit: Okay, i do it now that way: date -s "14 Nov 2015 10:58:00" But how can it be that the date and time is wrong after a reboot?
  8. After my kernel update trouble ;-) i make a clean install. I also changed the Lan-cable twice. In my mind i do not have these trouble and messages from the beginning. The cubietruck is connected with my HTPC (Windows) with the Lan-Cable. I hope that is maybe the problem. So at the weekend i try to connect the cubie with my Router and check the Log messages. Thank you for yout input !
  9. May someone has a hint why i have following entries in /var/log/syslog ? Nov 11 09:13:14 localhost kernel: [37081.729830] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Nov 11 09:13:15 localhost kernel: [37082.729671] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 10/Full Nov 11 09:13:35 localhost kernel: [37102.729868] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Nov 11 09:13:36 localhost kernel: [37103.729676] PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 10/Full These entries are right after a clean install. And why only 10? I get these entries again and again. After minutes or after hours. I have this entries on Debian Wheezy with 3.4.105 and now with 3.4.109 also :-( I use a Wlan connection and also a Lan connection. Can this be a problem?
  10. Thank you for your great achievement! Without so much input I would my small home server do not get to run. I now have the system reinstalled, copy my backup and within minutes again a running system. Everything else exceeds my competence ;-)
  11. Okay, as a beginner my update procedere went wrong. What i did: Update Kernel from 3.4.105 -> Vanilla 4.2.3 I use the update script: wget -q -O - http://upgrade.armbian.com| bash After update i got a successfull message, look at boot.script and reboot. Okay. But after a reload nothing happened. I switch a HDMI cable to a monitor-> NOTHING, just BLACK My system is: Cubietruck boot directory on SD root and everything else on SSD I pick the SD and look into the boot.cmd, but the root info is the same as in my backup. What can i do?
