  1. Please try with latest version (v5.20) - we changed to Network Manager which gives better results.
  2. Linux version 4.7.3-sun8i (root@build-armbian) That's your own build of new kernel ... AFAIK we don't have full mainline support for H3 ... Our (working) vanilla kernel for H3 is based on megous orange-pi-4.6 tree including throttling patches
  3. Currently we don't have resources to deal with the logistical part of this "task - reward" thing but we appreciate help with or without this. I could probably get some more boards but I need to check to confirm. Task statuses can be found here: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib/issues
  4. No, you don't need to attach anything except power and Ethernet. Check if you are connecting to right IP, port (default 22) and if you choose ssh protocol. There are slim chances that something is wrong on our side but I did many tests lately and I am using this method most of the time ... I would notice if something is wrong. Try another SD card - perhaps the system is corrupted. Edit: You need to wait for a while.
  5. Was upgrade successful ? Was there error similar to this? E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Check this: http://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Advanced-Features/#how-to-troubleshoot
  6. Yes, sshd with dhcp is default on all images. http://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/#how-to-login
  7. Please just confirm which kernels have you try: 3.10., 4.7 and 4.4.20 (yesterday build?) There are no other kernels, official / any other builds are only older that this.
  8. We only support onboard wifi chips, not all possible on the planet. But our system is prepared to build a driver. That is the best what we can do.
  9. Repository is updated to latest version (jumped to 5.20) so it's possible to test upgrades.
  10. It took around 10 hours to built the final batch but I forgot to add yet another important optimisation - upload right after image is compressed. cca. 60G on a 10Mbit uplink takes some time, still 6-7 hours to go
  11. There are some problems with ports and I am not sure all this is fixed by now but we are releasing an update later today. There will be one new kernel (4.4.20, when released: apt-get install linux-image-dev-marvell linux-dtb-dev-marvell ) which is supported by a SolidRun and needs to be tested if it's any better. Based on my tests all three kernels needs extra fixing and I thought to include more fixes into this release but their lead developer is having vacations at this moment and I could not retrieve any valuable data. After this update, it comes another and another ...
  12. No, no. I meant this as initial software support which comes with the chip. It usually came with some old for Android prepared kernel, with blobs for settings and wide range of bugs. Nevertheless you can find hardware design flaws which software cant fix. An well known example is router Lamobo R1, some H3 based boards use cheap voltage control, some has heat dispansion problem and we could certainly find more. Linux drivers are problematic in general, yap. Nvidia is a Linux unfriendly company and they just recently start to improve that. Or it's a problem related to patents and © bullshit. Hard to tell. But that's another story.
  13. Did we forgot to include this into patch? CONFIG_MMC_SUNXI_SLOT_EXTRA=2 U-Boot SPL 2016.09-armbian (Sep 14 2016 - 07:34:12) DRAM: 1024 MiB Trying to boot from MMC2 MMC Device 1 not found spl: could not find mmc device. error: -19 SPL: failed to boot from all boot devices ### ERROR ### Please RESET the board ### BTW: shall we rename .RAW to .ISO ?
  14. http://www.dx.com/p/genuine-samsung-32gb-microsdhc-evo-class-10-uhs-i-memory-card-mb-mp32d-852323434 I bough them months ago in a bulk of three and the regular price was US$ 7,93 ... no "action / sale" Mine looks genuine. But $8.49 is still a good price.
  15. We are putting out a new kernel this week. It will have more options regarding display output. If you want to go deeper, check this patch: https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib/blob/master/patch/kernel/sun8i-default/z-0003-add-additional-video-modes.patch
  16. We (most work was done by Zador) just spent months to rework desktop that now have more features and its properly packed that can be installed on the top of CLI and upgrade, hopefully, works fine. We are releasing it within one week. Armbian tends to focus on base problems, server / iot functionality, since most of those boards have problems in the ground level and it's irrelevant if we add on it's rotten base an "smooth, high quality desktop". This is what some board manufacturers might do to impress their potential buyers. We are happy with current level of smoothness and quality of the desktop but project is open and we will support any initiative from outside.
  17. No idea, try some older u-boot. Image from download section is working fine .. use it and just install kernel which you just compiled. Leave u-boot as is. We are just finishing a new release and I'll check where is the problem on the way. Thanks for reporting in.
  18. Found another problem, manifest only in Xenial. http://pastebin.com/6NHXCy5k
  19. It's a known bug ... One walk around is to use USB sound card until problem is fixed ... Regarding USB BT, no idea what to recommend. Perhaps only avoid latest BT products?
  20. There are 3 options: Attach a keyboard + monitor, login via SSH or via serial console. http://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/#how-to-login
  21. After deleting /output/buildpkg ... and recompiling problem looks to be gone. Doing more tests ...
  22. ./compile.sh EXTERNAL_NEW=compile CLEAN_LEVEL="" KERNEL_ONLY=yes BOARD=orangepipc BRANCH=default =
