  1. It is almost impossible to squeez this two transistors. I dont have 4 hands.... I have flashed on my miqi old firefly 3288 firmware 14.04. this will end soon. Is it another method how to boot armbian from sd card?
  2. This is info from your www page download section.: "to boot from SD card you need to press and hold a button on the back side of the board and power on. This erases bootloader on eMMC and now you can boot from SD. In case of troubles use this tool to restore stock bootloader." I have downloaded Armbians image. Program Linux upgrade_tool cant flash it.... Loading firmware failed... of course i press recovery button from the bottom of hardware. RK_Android_Tool also not recognize img file. What is wrong with your firmware? Then I flashing micro-sd cart via dd command and did this from your page.: "to boot from SD card you need to press and hold a button on the back side of the board and power on. This erases bootloader on eMMC and now you can boot from SD".... nothing is happens.... What is wrong?
  3. Thanks a lot for Armbian team!!! its done what a support -!!!!
  4. Ok. Im not developer. I will wait for patch from TonyMac32. Please add 1.80 Ghz speed to device tree. Both for debian 9 next and ubuntu 16.04 based armbian's versions. There is a difference between 1.6 and 1.8GHZ. for example in web browsing and when you use GUI. This speed decrease is strange because cpu is not getting fast hot like some allwinners cpus. Thanks in advance.
  5. i have tried this from miqi board - but it does not work either overclocking to 2.2Ghz is possible with (patched) mainline kernel. Enable with: echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/boost # enable turbo - permission disabled even i do it as root nano /etc/default/cpufrequtils # adjust new limit- no such file /etc/init.d/cpufrequtils restart # restart cpufrequtils well and how can i changed it?
  6. ON Debian stretch 5.37 image sisuation is the same... Conservetive governor and max cpu speed 1.61 GHZ....
  7. yes i have been done apt-get update and upgrade, nothing is to upgrade because cpu governor and maximum frequency has changed before the last upgrade one day ago..... in sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpu_freqency_scaling there is only 1600 Mhz max speed. on xfce4-cpu-frequency plugin i can see only 1.61 GHZ max speed. Was 1800 before upgrade... i removed cpufrequtils but it did not help.
  8. JMMC - i have fan and cooler on my hardware - it no trotting.... what i know finally?? nothing.... how to get back to 1.80GHZ?
  9. i can see frequencies vis xfce4-cpu-frequencies plug-in and governor also...
  10. Linux tinkerboard 4.14.14-rockchip #8 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 25 19:38:43 CET 2018 linux-xenial armbian 5.38 based on ubuntu 16.04
  11. i have upgraded armbian on tinkerboard asus form 5.35 to 5.38. And this changed cpu governor to conservative. I have changed it to performance. BUT previous max cpu speed was 1.80GHZ and now i have only 1.61.GHZ I have cooler with fan on my tinkerboard and iam not scared high cpu temperature. Hov to get back to the maximum 1.80 GHZ frequency ???? I cant add 180000MHZ via sudo nano /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies to each core permission denied. please help
  12. Is there a topic about H6 orangepi boards? I meana Orangepi lite 2 and Orangepi One Plus? Both with H6 Allwinner CPU? Can we expect armbian for such devices?????
  13. I have bought Orangepi RK3399 via aliexpress. On orangepi www site are img's files of linux dabian 9 and ubuntu 16.04. But this file not full system img that can be flash via RK_Android_Toll. They are precompiled rootfs files. According to the manual i have downloaded Linux4.4_SDK and build kernel ./build/mk-kernel.sh rk3399-orangepi. I also build uboot ./build/mk-uboot.sh rk3399-orangepi. i used existed roofs file debian9 and compile img system file ./build/mk-image.sh -c rk3399 -t system -s 4000 -r out/debian9.img. Then i entered hardware to the maskroom mode and ./build/flash_tool.sh-c rk3399 -p system -i out/system.img. Finally i flashed system.img to the emmc memory. But when i plug in device i have black screen. Nothing is booting. Others people have the same problem. Something must be wrong with the precompiled roofts files or Linux4.4 SDK. People ask on orangepi forum about this problem but forums' admin say only "do things according to the manual". I must say manual is not clear. No other support from orangepi. Do you plan to build armbian for orangepi RK3399 device?
  14. when arnbian for orangepi lite2 and H6 Allwinner cpu? Do you preparing for that?
  15. Iam the owner of Firefly RK 3399... I have installed on it Flint OS ( Chromium clone ). I also have Atom powered WINTEL single board Atom X5-Z8300 Quad-Core 1.440MHZ 1840Mhz with Claud Ready ( Chromium clone ). Performance is almost equal. both 2 GB RAM and boot from eMMC memory ROM. I have tried to install Xubuntu delivered by Firefly but it was very unstable on RK3399. This chip is optimized for chromium... No compering to allwinner chips like A64, H6 etc. You can surf over internet much more more better...
  16. hi rk3399 is being very popular chip. Firefly 3399 was launched on August last year. Now Orange pi RK 3399 is launching. Pine now are preparing Pine RK3399. the same also is doing HanrdKernel - Odroid N is expected on august this year. Short Question. Are you preparing Armbian for RK3399? Are you interested in this chip. best regards
  17. http://linuxgizmos.com/latest-20-orange-pi-runs-android-7-0-on-new-allwinner-h6/ This is something new from allwinner. CPU H6. Maybe lets start a new topic
  18. HI How does it change screen resolution from 1024x768 to 1920x1080 in orange pi H5 processor? ( XFCE ) I was trying this in armbianENV.txt setenv load_addr "0x44000000" setenv overlay_error "false" # default values # setenv rootdev "/dev/mmcblk0p1" # setenv verbosity "1" # setenv console "both" setenv disp_mem_reserves "off" # setenv disp_mode "1920x1080p60" setenv rootfstype "ext4" setenv docker_optimizations "on" setenv video-mode sunxi:1920x1080,monitor=hdmi,hpd=0,edid=1 saveenv usbstoragequirks=0x2537:0x1066:u,0x2537:0x1068:u OR add to the boot.cmd setenv video-mode sunxi:1920x1080-24@60,monitor=hdmi,hpd=0,edid=0 but it does not work. I am not programmer, maybe i am doing something wrong or stupid.
