Hello! I must apologize for misleading you. Again looked at the manual, there really is no warning about the limitations of OTG. In my old head something was confused. I read this information somewhere else.
    Sincerely, Viktor Chekasin.

  2. Hello! The OPI3 manufacturer in the manual directly warns not to be supplied through OTG. Too thin conductors! Alternatively, check these electrical chains and restore. If it does not help, then the AXP805 is destroyed. You can, of course, replace it if there are skills. OS is not exactly here.
    Sincerely, Viktor Chekasin.
P.S. Sorry, this is a machine forever from Russian into English.:)

    Hi!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...

I just bought 10 Orange Pi 3 and none has a regular functioning ethernet. The LEDs go on as expected, the graphic network setup tool shows a DHCP address for a second (or even less) then it goes away, along with the LEDs. After a few seconds, the cycle comes on again and again.

Do I have a bad lot?  I've tried almost all available images, including the android that came in the ESSD memory, they all had the same behaviour.

    Thanks!

    Francisco

    Hi, Francisco!

The situation is strange .... I have OPi 3 Opi and Win +. There were no problems with the network. WiFi, Ethernet, BT - everything works like a clock.
I can assume that the problem is outside, say, a ban on access to the network.
    Sincerely, Victor.

  4. Hello everyone! I have Orange Pi 3 and Armbian 5.4.28. Having repeatedly experimented on different displays, I found out that, most likely, with each boot of HDMI, the Orange Pi driver polls the display. If the answer comes and it is correct, then there is HDMI sound, otherwise - no. Some older displays are not detected in this way. But you can try to reload the old display while running Orange Pi. Most likely, a sound will appear. When using the HDMI-VGA adapter, I did not receive sound on the adapter’s audio connector. This also speaks in favor of the fact that the HDMI driver is "looking" for the correct device in order to direct the sound there. To this, I can only add that on my Orange Pi 3 Android board ALWAYS outputs audio to HDMI, including through the HDMI-VGA adapter.
which unfortunately, my qualifications do not allow me to fix this yet. But it is also fixable, what my years! (I am 70 years old)

Orange Pi developers do not recommend using USB-OTG to power the board, too thin conductors. Moreover, there are current limits from the USB host. This is all in the documentation.

  7. Hello!
I am Russian. I use machine translation. Sorry if not very clear.
Regarding Orange Pi 3 and audio output via HDMI, I found the following:
For Armbian. If you start the board not by a button, but by applying voltage, then there is HDMI sound, otherwise - there is no sound through HDMI. How to treat it, I do not know.
