  1. I updated to new vivaldi and it opens with a blank white screen. I found the solution. Go to setting>webpage uncheck use Hardware Acceleration when available.
  2. How do you un-suspend armbian? I typed many buttons on keyboard.
  3. I uninstalled netfilter-persistent. It also uninstalled iptables-persistent. I think it is rules for the firewall. But there is no rules in it.
  4. I am getting this failure at boot. Can I uninstall netfilter-persistent or is it required? sudo systemctl status netfilter-persistent ● netfilter-persistent.service - netfilter persistent configuration Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/netfilter-persistent.service; enabled; ve Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sat 2021-04-17 07:26:49 PDT; 1h 16mi Process: 469 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/netfilter-persistent start (code=exited, stat Main PID: 469 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: line 3: CHAIN_UPDATE fail Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: line 4: CHAIN_UPDATE fail Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: line 5: CHAIN_UPDATE fail Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: run-parts: /usr/share/net Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: run-parts: executing /usr Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: ip6tables-restore v1.8.2 Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: line 3: CHAIN_UPDATE fail Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: line 4: CHAIN_UPDATE fail Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: line 5: CHAIN_UPDATE fail Apr 17 07:26:51 tinkerboard netfilter-persistent[469]: run-parts: /usr/share/net lines 1-16/16 (END) I think this is where the failed lines 3, 4, and five. 5. Best to move to Vivaldi Browser. Chromium is history. Vivaldi is working very good. One of the members recommended it. I installed it and I really like it. I copied the old Chromium files over to it and got all my stuff back.
  6. I got vpn working. 1 installed network-manager-openvpn-gnome. 2 went to vpn connections and configure vpn. 3 selected autoConfiguration under the openvpn. 4 inserted my .ovpn file from the service provider. I didn't think network-manager-openvpn-gnome was needed since the network-manager-openvpn was installed. Note: At first the configuration window disappeared. I thought it didn't work. So, I went back to the vpnconnection and saw that it was configured but it was unchecked. I clicked on it and the yellow lock appeared on the network icon on the right side panel. Apps installed openvpn network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome gadmin-openvn-client gadmin-openvpn-server
  7. I see but that is what is given in the terminal. I don't know why the first 4000 lines are missing. I checked the endless scrollback in the terminal's preference. Ok I'll check with openvpn.net
  8. Hello. I have installed openvpn and network-manager. I select Openvpn. I go to create and select automatic. I input my .ovpn file and the save button is greyed. It asks for a PAC Url. But, my vpn provider doesn't use pac urls. Is there away I can get vpn working? Armbian working great. It's a very good operating system. Everything works only vpn is the last one to get working. Armbian running on a tinkerboard. armbianmonitor -U ta. 4517 [ 13.987953] systemd[1]: Started Set console font and keymap. 4518 [ 14.021762] nf_tables: (c) 2007-2009 Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> 4519 [ 14.129938] zram: Added device: zram0 I deleted it all so no need to scroll through all of that.
  9. Chromium in Armbian addons is disabled. I copied my older chromium folder in Tinkerboard and pasted it in the .config folder on Armbian and the addons are disabled. I copied the same chromium folder in the .config folder on my PCLinuxOS and the addons are all there and the addons is fully enabled. Why does Armbian have the addons disabled? Is there some way to enable it? I don't believe that it could be google doing it since PCLinuxOS is just fine.
  10. This is the method of cloning I have been using for several years. Saved me lots of time. Applications: YUMI, QT5-fsarchiver, Wine, Live OS, and Sandisk USB. 1 Make a bootable-usb using YUMI. Install a live OS. I prefer PClinux Live on a sandisk USB 128/256gb or Solid-State drive. Bootup the USB and install QT5-fsarchiver using synaptic. 2 Or install QT5-fsarchiver in any PC/Laptop. 3 Plug in the Tinkerboard, or what ever, to a USB port and create a full backup image of the MMC or SD card. 4 Save the image file anywhere. 5 Restore the image using QT-fsarchiver to any memory device. Note: In the PClinux live installed in the Bootable-usb, I had to change the repository to the second one down so qt5-fsarchver would appear when searched. YUMI works in wine. Have wine installed, if using a linux pc or laptop. You can copy the backup image to the bootable-USB and take it anywhere you want. You can backup any Operating System. Windows 10/Apple? I think so. Very easy with those new supper fast devices. You can also use the command line method using fsarchiver. It can do live systems just don't edit anything during the backup. Armbian can't be backed up using the live backup which means you will need to use another computer.
  11. Well that is bad. I have my chromium folder from my old Tinkerboard backed up. What do is just copy it over to a new installation and all my addons show up. Not this time. There is one very important to me. It is a huge lose. Is there something I can do? I don't know how the api works yet. Maybe not use it. I don't need to add any more addons. All I need is to use my chromium back up from the .config hidden folder.
  12. For those who may have the crashing problem with VLC in TinkerboardS. Tools>pref>Input/Codecs/Hardware-acceleratedDecodeing select VA-API video decoder via DRM Correction.... Tool>pref>video>output>XVideoOutput worked with 1080p
  13. How can I enable addons in chromium. The addons are greyed out.
  14. It's working finally. I guess update or a fresh install did it. This new installed asked me to update my firmware on the board. I said yes. I ran sudo armbian-config Then installed the desktop. That is where it asked to update the firmware. Thanks for your help. Also the below stopped my VLC crashing. Tool>pref>video>output>XVideoOutput worked with 1080p
  15. Hello, I would like to have some help with the video in Armbian. I have migrated to it and I want to make it the best possible. I hope there is some things I can do to make it run smoother. It is ok with small screen but not with full screen. I have a Tinkerboard S.
