    They lack 100+ fixes and various additional features? Check release date of those "alternatives"!

     

    I could write a 10 page article on this, but I am not the right person and don't see a point :)

    Trey that was I was thinking, but as you post in some other post that you will be releasing Ubuntu xenial next, so I asked here.

    And I know that Armbian is the best of all others and that's why I have installed it on my opi+2e.

    Dear, what about kernel 4.x.x, can we expect to be released with next version/update?

    We sometimes change for whatever reason which image will be provided for download and we can't build all possible combinations, since this is time consuming job. But we provide updates for all builds, even daily.

     

    You have few options:

     

    1. Check archive if you find older version and upgrade it

    2. Build on your own

    3. Wait, since Xenial CLI and desktop will probably be build in next round.

    My only point was to know about this image.

    Whether the work will go on should I change it to debian Jessie.

    Now as you confirm that we will get something on next round,

    I will wait for it always.

    I am on emmc and I would like to back it on my sdcard/pendrive and than copy it to my pc.

    After installing xfce4

    Have you given command

    Sudo startcfce4

    This might work

    But need to give command on every start.

    Don't know of auto,

    If you find something than please let me know.

    I am on armbian Xenial server.

    So you don't have xorg and desktop at first place, but you want to view it remotely? Just use SSH, and SCP for console and file transfer. Or maybe you have to ask your question the right way - you want to install desktop on Armbian Xenial CLI image from Download section and then follow the instructions here to have remote desktop access, or something else?

    Id it possible to view desktop view remotely, without having desktop installed on server?

    I have Armbian Xenial installed.

    I want to view desktop view remotely,

    How to do that?
