  1. Hi to All, I recently upgraded my "test server" to the current version, by flashing a new image to my sd-card. However i forgot to recover some essential files, before flashing! I liked very much the login info about the the number of available updates, since I used the testing repo at that time. Could someone provide the code snipplet for that piece of info ann thell me, in which file to place it?? Well, many many thanks for your help and advice! regards, ireng
  2. @toast: Thanks for your comment and reference! Regards, Ireng

  4. Hello Igor! I am using your excellent ARM- based DEBIAN distribution on all of my 3 cubietrucks and I am very pleased with ist. At this time i would like to express my deepest gratitude to you and all fellow users and supporters of ARMBIAN. Recently i discovered a new INTEL based platform: INTEL Compute Stick e.g. STK1A32SC, STK2MV64CC or STK2M364CC all without any OS. Most of them are not yet available (in Germany), however they will be available - hopefully - within the next three months - or so. These Compu Sticks getting so powerful - including Core 5 M processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, 64 GB eMMMC and a slot for microsd (up to 200 GB), WLAN AC, BT 4.2, 3 x USB3 ports, which makes them a "real pocket PC", plugged into a HDMI port and connected to an USB keyboard Mostly I like the composition of features and services build into the ARMBIAN system and being used right after the start-up. After these Compu Stick will be widely available, many - professinels - will adopt these hardware base to built an admin - or support tool of teir own or adopting existing ???? ones to their needs. I am convinced, that users will adobt the Compu Stick as well - not only, because WINTEL 10 sticks will be available, but because to hold such a big computing power in the palm of his and and carry around in his pocket! I am very much interessted of - your and all fellow users of ARMBIAN - opinion ! I am looking forward to discussing and appreciate your opinions and contributions. Regards, Ireng

  8. Hi Igor! Thanks for your answer & advice! Well, I use a LG 22" Monitor with a native 1600 x 1050 resolution. All your *old* images worked and displayed without any problems. I always use a HDMI - VGA adapter, because the HDMI - DVI creates some problems displaying contents. It is strange, since the display problems onyl show up lately! regads, hitam4450 PS: Output from dmesg: 4.540306] systemd[1]: Cannot add dependency job for unit display-manager.service, ignoring: Unit display-manager.service failed to load: No such file or directory. Any Clou??

  22. Hi igor, this morning I installed Linux cubie5 4.1.6-sunxi #20 SMP Mon Aug 24 09:27:58 CEST 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux on one of my Cubietrucks and the image booted flawless, no problems with the LCD screen, everything was visible and clear. After making my adjustments, i compiled & installed the 8812 - driver for the ALFA AWUSC036AC USB adapter, adjusted my hostapd and network configuration and everything is working fine in that sense, that the 5 GHZ wifi network is visible an no error messages from the start of hostapd! 3 thumbs Up, Igor ! I can't access the new 5 GHZ wireless network only, because my password (double, triple and quadruple checked is always refused with the message: password incorrect, at this time! Best regards, Ireng
