I would prefer this since I would never ever implement SOHO/home RAID (again). ZFS+raidz2 is ok for more than 2 disks, everything else stinks (especially all those cheap HW RAID chips) if you don't have every SPoF lying around (since otherwise the R in RAID becomes a joke)
