  1. Hi have send all my changes to the jwrdegoede repository. I haven't merge the last PR just in case someone add some feedback https://github.com/jwrdegoede/rtl8189ES_linux/pull/10 Compilation logs https://travis-ci.org/CGarces/rtl8189ES_linux/builds/308135114 I'll merge the PR tonight if I not receive negative comments. Feel free to use that new version on Armbian kernel. Unfortunately I can't provide a change log.
  2. That's strange, jwrdegoede has newer versions than that one. @Igor I see that you have starred CGarces/rtl8189FS at GitHub. Is just fork from khadas/android_hardware_wifi_realtek_drivers_8189ftv but patched to works on x86 and newer kernels. I'm looking for a "upstream" repository to send my changes, I'm not planing to made other fork of the very fragmented RTL drivers ecosystem. My first option is jwrdegoede repository, please check this repository instead of CGarces/rtl8189FS https://github.com/CGarces/rtl8189ES_linux/commits/update_version Is the jwrdegoede repository + two new versions from the code of khadas (but keeping the jwrdegoede modifications). You can see the current status of the builds there https://travis-ci.org/CGarces/rtl8189ES_linux/builds/307639831?utm_source=github_status&utm_medium=notification Don't worry about the compilation errors, all have a patch ready to be applied. I'm planing to send a PR with the new versions to jwrdegoede + and additional PR with the fixes for specific kernels. Any feedback are welcome.
  3. Hi rtl8189FS was added on august and the version at include/rtw_version.h is v4.3.18.1_15373.20151005 At http://linux-sunxi.org/Wifi#RTL8189FTV I see that the recommended repository is https://github.com/jwrdegoede/rtl8189ES_linux/tree/rtl8189fs That repository use v4.3.24_15589.20151023 There is also newer versions, now I'm patching v4.3.24.6_20019.20161107 https://github.com/CGarces/rtl8189FS Any one has tested this newer versions? maybe @martinayotte ?
  4. So images from 20161026 are using LibreELEC kernel? Has OpenGL support?
  5. Can any one check this patch? Looks like not all the freq. are working fine. https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/blob/e1f33a285b884e5d4d713b8e1cbbb8ea392747ae/packages/linux/patches/aarch64/linux-007-sound_soc_aml_m8-Report-only-working-frequecies-and-bit-depths.patch
  6. Maybe you can use this https://github.com/kszaq/linux-amlogic-le Is the kernel used in the S905 versions of LibreELEC
  7. Yes, using ALSA. speaker-test works and I have removed the pulseaudio dependenci. I think that is a kernel or video problem. Last kodi log is the same as LibreELEC http://pastebin.com/atJFLtGc
  8. I think that not is the main reason for the error. Installing pulse audio removes the error, but still not starting.
  9. I haven't compiled the kernel. Is the kernel provided in the image of 18 Oct. Linux amlogic-s905x 3.14.29 #19 SMP PREEMPT Tue Oct 18 09:19:28 MSK 2016 aarch64 GNU/Linux See ful log (with debug enabled) at http://pastebin.com/tSdJgTKC The folowing errors also happend on LibreELEC, that works fine and I'm using as reference 01:00:22 T:548371845120 ERROR: DBus: Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.freedesktop.UPower was not provided by any .service files 01:00:23 T:548371845120 ERROR: AML: no rw on /sys/class/ppmgr/ppmgr_3d_mode On ARMBian I have 18:47:03 T:547837812736 ERROR: DBus: Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.freedesktop.UPower was not provided by any .service files 18:47:04 T:547837812736 ERROR: DBus: Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied - Permission denied 18:47:04 T:547837812736 ERROR: Previous line repeats 3 times. 18:47:04 T:547837812736 ERROR: DBus: Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1 was not provided by any .service files 18:47:04 T:547837812736 ERROR: PulseAudio: Failed to connect context 18:47:04 T:547837812736 ERROR: AML: no rw on /sys/class/ppmgr/ppmgr_3d_mode But no FATAL error, Kodi.bin just exit with "segmentation fault"
  10. So it's and error of mali-fbdev or other package? ii mali-fbdev 20160319-r5p1-1 arm64 Mali-Fbdev Drivers r5p1 for s905 based products .I have updated it. ii mali-fbdev 20161003-r6p1-ee42997-15 arm64 Mali Binaries for ODROID-C2 FBDev Version The error is gone from the kodi log, but still no image... last line in the log is 14:15:38 T:548208361472 NOTICE: InitWindowSystem: Using EGL Implementation: amlogic So I'm not sure if I have fixed something
  11. Still trying to get a working version of KODi I¡m using the frame buffer version from http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?t=19433 But I can't fix this error 12:59:15 T:548117147648 NOTICE: InitWindowSystem: Using EGL Implementation: amlogic 12:59:15 T:548117147648 ERROR: EGL error in InitDisplay: 3003 12:59:15 T:548117147648 ERROR: InitWindowSystem: Could not create display 12:59:15 T:548117147648 FATAL: CApplication::Create: Unable to init windowing system Any idea?
  12. Should be... works with Odriod C2 that has the same SOC Use this repos and try to install kodi-odroid. http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?t=5908&f=52 In my case is failing due xorg configuration, but I'm keep trying.
  13. Any change to install kodi on top of this image? I have tested deb http://oph.mdrjr.net/odrobian/ jessie s905 But the repo is very old and kodi not boot, some isue with mali-fbdev:arm64 And deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main contrib non-free But use XORG and I can't get hardware acceleration. Also deb http://deb.odroid.in/c2/ xenial main But has version issues root@amlogic-s905x:/# apt-get install kodi Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Any other repository with a working copy of KODI?
  14. I'm a little bit lost with the installations process. I have a S905X device that boots fine from USB using LibreELEC. I'm trying to do the same with ARMBian using Armbian_5.21_Amlogic-s905x_Debian_jessie_3.14.29_20161018.img After sudo dd bs=1M if=Armbian_5.21_Amlogic-s905x_Debian_jessie_3.14.29_20161018.img of=/dev/sdb I have plugged the USB on the USB1 port, but not boot. I can't see and message, just the android boot. I miss some step?
  15. Hi! I'm testing the image for cubieboard (A10 SOC) onto my MK 802 II and the legacy kernel is working fine (USB, OGT, WIFI, HDMI...) I just have changed the script.bin I'm reading some documentation about the device trees and I don't understand how you compile the vanilla kernel. Sorry if is a stupid questions but my board has his own .dts (sun4i-a10-mk802ii.dts), how you get a common vanilla kernel valid for all the configurations without using one specific .dts for each board? Probably I'm missing something very basic for ARM kernels, but this is my 1º aproach.
