To run KODI-18 , you need to perform additional configuration of the system.
1. you need to remove the package “pulseaudio”
2. Switch to the test repository (disable all other repositories and enable "test" in the sourceslist file). Then install a new version of libc6-2.27 from the test repository).
After these steps, you can use KODI-18 as usual.

I found the whole soldering action to the test points way to iffy. Alternative idea: Using pogo-pins on a proto board with 40 pin female header - provides the necessary pressure and long term stability as well as +5V and GND. Here used with OPi lite to add an extra USB port for "internal" bluetooth. On the Opi Lite, the test point closer to the CPU is USB D-. If I had a 3D printer, it could also look nicer as the holes for the pogo pins could be more precise :-). Thanks to the Armbian team for including bluetooth drivers in the distro - the whole thing works like a charm.

 
 

With desktop image, yes. If you start with server, you need to install some desktop.
 
h3disp has nothing to do with X or TV out - it is setting screen resolution on HDMI out.

If you can see console text on the monitor, 1, 2, 3 are not relevant because your video output hardware is working fine.
 
I only skimmed the video with the sound off, but I didn't see any suggestion that the author had a local monitor on the Zero simultaneously observing the same desktop.  There is no shared desktop in X as there is on Windows.  VNC desktops are separate from local desktops.  If you really need some sort of screencasting, the easiest way would be to run the local X server with auto-login and add the VNC server to auto-start from within the desktop session environment.  The VNC server will then accept connections and use its access to the local desktop to share it with network users.
