  1. Just as information, the latest ayufan images are not running on z28 and because rock64 armbian is based on ayufans work it will also not boot. So I would not recommend to buy such box at all, it is just another cheap chinese TV Box.
  2. No change so far, still only noise on two channels, AVR shows Multichannel PCM and the right number of channels. dmesg: http://sprunge.us/ieMH
  3. Some feedback to HDMI sound: Only pink noise on two channels, silence on all other channels. This Time my AVR indicates Multichannel PCM and the right number of channels, even there is silence on the channels, so i think this is going in the right direction. dmesg :http://sprunge.us/AgiB
  4. Here is the output of dmesg http://sprunge.us/KDCP
  5. Compiling is running! speaker-test gives 2 channel output with 2, 4, 6, 8 channels testing. There is only noise coming from fronts, channel enumeration is different on -c8, active channels are 0 and 7. (possible wrong channel mapping) speaker-test is running without errors. My AVR only indicates the samplerate, no Dolby Digital anymore, but also no Multichannel PCM. On RK3328 (z28) i found something similar, speaker-test without errors, sound only on the fronts (mapping ok). Kwiboo thinks that there are multichannel patches missing on ayufans kernel.
  6. Ok, something is happening: ek@orangepiplus2e:~$ speaker-test -D hw:0 -c8 speaker-test 1.1.0 Playback device is hw:0 Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 8 channels Using 16 octaves of pink noise Rate set to 48000Hz (requested 48000Hz) Buffer size range from 32 to 32768 Period size range from 16 to 4096 Using max buffer size 32768 Periods = 4 was set period_size = 4096 was set buffer_size = 32768 0 - Front Left 1 - Front Right 2 - Unknown 3 - Unknown 4 - Unknown 5 - Unknown 6 - Unknown 7 - Unknown Time per period = 23,245443 but: there is no sound on any Channel , just silence. I can here the relays clicking on my AVR and it shows me "Dolby Digital" instead of expected "Multichannel PCM" (that is what i get with my Hummingboard and Raspberry with modified Kernel) I will build a new Kernel with "channels_min = 2" to check if there is sound with only 2 channels.
  7. I have started compiling, it will take some time on my old AMD. I ´ll report back!
  8. I am Sorry Jernej, I do not have any programming skills. You are doing a fantastic job!
  9. I have tested HDMI Audio on my Opi +2e, it is limited to 2 channels.(tested with speaker-test) Anyway it is good to know, that there is still developement on H5/H3 Boards.
  10. Some Feedback. A short USBA-USBA (ca. 15cm) is not the solution. I could flash the z28 back to stock Firmware with the longer Cable before. eMMC Capacity is listed with 0kb in Android Tools.
  11. @r1kaomsk, I have already tried to flash a stock rom with android tool. I can not check it now ( holiday) but i remember the message i got was something like " idb prepare fail"
  12. The eMMC Error on the Orangepi looks familiar to me. Got this on an Orangepi PC+ and never found the error. The Pi is working up today, eMMC is formatted in extf3 now. Take a look here.
  13. I can second that v60 is working again
  14. It seems the Box is different to the z28, z28 is not in Maskrom Mode after pressing the Button and I think we do not have to talk about SDcard Issues... Did you try to start up with Flash erased, SDcard in and serial Adapter disconnected from serial header? (you certainly have to plug in a Monitor) I got only Information about flash, right after starting AndroidTool but because of the broken eMMC i can only start from Sdcard now..
  15. PCB looks similar, i think the trick is to shorten it only for a short time.... I have crashed the eMMC on my board by trying to write an Image to it via DD. On RKDev Tools the Samsung Chip is recognized, but shows O MB Capacity...so perhaps some Voltage settings are not quite right. ( Board is permanent in Maskrom Mode now) The Booting Issue had something to do with my Serial-USB connector, when it is unplugged everything works.
  16. I am sorry, that I can´t help on this Topic. I am just a User and not someone who can deal with Driver Issues. Looking at Rockchip, i think that they have massive Problems with Sound-Drivers besides BSP Kernels. On my z28 (RK3328) I have only Sound on Android. I don´t think that there will be changes in near future, that is why I cancelled my Order on Rock64.
  17. The Alfawise Box is below 40€ on Gearbest, thats cheaper than the Sunvelll. Mainline USB3 Gigabit and Bluetooth... It was not yet released when i bought my z28. Rk3328 is promising and Development is fast, hope we will get real Sound on HDMI on it. @Igor I can not find any WIP on RK3328 on Armbian, did I miss something?
  18. I found the Error, it is my USB to Serial converter, when it is plugged in i have to wait. The Box is working when the converter is plugged of... I am going to look at the solder points tomorrow.
  19. It is a strange Phenomen. The Box is not completly broken, but every Time I "shutdown" there is no sign of life for Minutes.... Here is another Log from Today :https://pastebin.com/iBuJAEJW
  20. Here is a log i took yesterday https://pastebin.com/2uA4xxpf. My z28 died today and i do not go and buy another one
  21. I did some soldering this Morning and found, that my z28 is not going to Maskrom Mode when I connect the two Points.
  22. Porting Android to this is Box would be fine, since the upcoming the Rockbox would be the same Hardware. I saw Widevine on your Android Image @r1kaomsk, good work I am going to solder a Switch to this Points, so i will have a Dual Boot Box!
