Virverus got a reaction from guidol in Single Armbian image for RK + AML + AW (armhf ARMv7)
@guidol thank you for your reply. You have one of the first versions. In the past I ran many images
meant for this board and they booted fine from sd , so it beats me why balbes150 images won't run
on my device but do run on yours! I'm certain the first test image from Balbes boots ,because their are
files written on sd , but thier is no hdmi output .Now I want to try to connect via a
direct cable connection between two machines ,either with an ethernet cable or a usb cable .

Hi , first results . Yesterday with all these weird results I decided to erase nand again ,
so these tests were done with android removed from nand ( and power and uart disconnected between tests )
First the radxa image  radxa_rock_lubuntu_desktop_140626_sdcard.img    https://mega.nz/folder/gxVRiara#_ExDV9pfNpqabzDTtpN-UA/file/l4tURaAL
    radxa unmodified :unmodifiedradxa.txt
    radxa modified with linaro-rk3188-3.0.36 :
    u-boot only :radxabootlin3036.txt,u-boot + parametr :radxabootparalina.txt u-boot+para+kernel :radxabootparakernlina.txt

Next the other way around now we modify the same linaro img :
    linaro unmodified : unmodlinaro3036.txt
    linaro modified with radxa :
    u-boot only : lina3066bootradxa.txt u-boot + parametr :lina3036bootpararadxa.txt  u-boot+para+kernel :lina3036bootparakernradxa.txt
    linaro modified with linuxium ( linux-sdcard-rkm-mk802iv-old.img ) :
    u-boot only:lina3036bootlinuxium.txt u-boot+parametr :lina3036bootparalinuxium.txt u_boot+para+kernel:lina3036bootparakernellinuxium.txt

    That's it for now.

When starting u-boot and the main system, the kernel configures (switches) all hardware. If there is a UART, it can act as a backup power source that preserves the set parameters even when the power supply is disconnected. I regularly observe such" strange " HDMI behavior on many TV box. Therefore, when testing, I always disconnect all cables (power supply and UART) for a few minutes. This ensures that the hardware is activated correctly at startup. By the way, u-boot is the same Linux system as the main armbian system (with the Linux kernel and minisystem).

Hi ,  sorry for the delay ,but it took me more time then expected due to strange behaviour of my equipment.
When I double checked , some  results didn't make sense .I booted radxa lubuntu and couldn't get into the desktop anymore ,
nand android worked ok and I downloaded radxa lubuntu again but still no desktop. The weird thing is linuxium from sd and
android worked fine .So in the end I disconnected my android device and waited a long time  > 10 minutes and then
radxa booted ok again! Did something persist in memory for a while ?
Anyhow I'm checking the results again ,this will take some time ,but I can give some preliminary results :
-replacing u-boot etc. in the radxa img ,all combinations makes it complete unbootable.
-replacing u-boot taken from radxa and substituted in either linaro 3.0.36 or lubuntu 3.0.36 makes them partly bootable,
but the boot process stops before hdmi gets connected ,this doesn't work with the 5.6.6 img though so no extra
output with the 5.6.6 img .
    - replacing u-boot taken from linuxium and substituted in the 3.0.36 images makes them also partly bootable.

I will test today again and post the results with uart output

    Test image for rk3188
Download, unpack and burn the ArmbianTV image to your SD card.
Connect to the TV box and turn on the power. The system will start automatically.

Good news. Using sources with patches from knaerzche,  it was possible to get the initial launch of the kernel 5 with an HDMI output for rk3188 (Ugoos UT2). Now I can see what messages the kernel gives out and I can move on, add the necessary options and Initrd for a full start of the system.

Good news. It turned out to fully launch Armbian with core 5 on Ugoos UT2 (rk3188) from an SD card.

Question. Are there users with models running on the rk3188 platform ?

My images use u-boot-2020 (for rk3288), it only works if there is no u-boot in eMMC\NAND. Rk3188 needs its own version of u-boot-2020 (I don't have this option yet). But there is also good news, when performing a number of manual steps, it turned out to run the core 5 on rk3188 (but without HDMI output, network, etc.), there is only the inclusion of indicators and reaction to the combination CNTR+ALT+DEL (the system reboots).

Hello balbes150 , I do have a rkm802IV ( the 'old' model )stick , I can boot the old linuxium linux image from sd ,
(from this post http://www.linuxium.com.au/how-tos/tastytreats ) . Because it's almost 10 years ago my memory of
what I read and did has become a bit rusty so I downloaded this image again and burned it to sd using balenaEtcher on Debian
and indeed it booted immediately. I tried a few of your 32 images the same way ,burned them to sd but they won't boot .
( Armbian_20.05.6_Arm-32_focal_current_5.4.43_desktop_20200604.img and Armbian_20.05.6_Arm-32_focal_current_5.7.2_desktop_20200613.img ) ,the system boots to android nand .Then I tried to flash the bootloader from your link
using rkAndroidtool under windows 10 ,but that was refused by the program .(check chip not ok) , well .it's a rk3188 so it refuses a
rk3288 loader . In the past I read a lot of linuxium's posts and he had many solutions for booting . Not all these posts exist anymore ,
google+ has dissappeared so it's a bit tricky finding everything back .The next few days I'll try to refresh my knowledge .(I don't
know what happened here but i've gone Italic !!)

for wifi I found this https://github.com/wonview/wifi_driver.
It might work.I've not tested this myself,in fact it's been a long time since a compiled
kernels or modules, before the DTS era actually.
