  1. Hello! I did all as in this tutorial. Everything complied fine but when I try to install the u-boot package I get the following message: dpkg -i linux-u-boot-current-bananapi_19.11.9_armhf.deb dpkg: regarding linux-u-boot-current-bananapi_19.11.9_armhf.deb containing linux-u-boot-bananapi-current: linux-u-boot-bananapi-next conflicts with armbian-u-boot linux-u-boot-bananapi-current provides armbian-u-boot and is to be installed. dpkg: error processing archive linux-u-boot-current-bananapi_19.11.9_armhf.deb (--install): conflicting packages - not installing linux-u-boot-bananapi-current Errors were encountered while processing: linux-u-boot-current-bananapi_19.11.9_armhf.deb What could be the reason? Display is not outputting so far. Thank you!
  2. Hello! The only useful stuff I can find is in "compilation.log" Error: arch/arm/dts/.sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb.pre.tmp:378.3-11 syntax error FATAL ERROR: Unable to parse input tree make[2]: *** [arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb] Error 1 make[1]: *** [arch-dtbs] Error 2 make: *** [dts/dt.dtb] Error 2 I'm using this for my private stuff. I can't afford to hire a person for this. But I will donate some money to the project as I already did in the past. If it's impossible to build something with the new kernel it's Ok.
  3. Hello! I'm trying to build some patches in order to use a touch screen display with the current kernel for my Banana-Pi 1. I tried this Tutorial (which worked fine with the last kernel releases and build environment based on Ubuntu 16.04) Now I switched to build environment bases on Ubuntu 18.04 and I'm having issues with compiling. I get an error message but I don't know what I have to do now. Anybody who can give some hints? scripts/Makefile.lib:308: recipe for target 'arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb' failed dts/Makefile:38: recipe for target 'arch-dtbs' failed Makefile:1061: recipe for target 'dts/dt.dtb' failed [ error ] ERROR in function compile_uboot [ compilation.sh:204 ] [ error ] U-boot compilation failed [ o.k. ] Process terminated
  4. Hello! Finally I could solve the issues and compile the files. I had issues with strange characters in the files after editing them.
  5. Hello! Ok, I followed the tutorial. But I'm having issues with the file "sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb". I'm quite sure that I'm doing everything as mentioned in the tutorial but something seams to be wrong. I get this during the build process: DTC arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb: ERROR (phandle_references): Reference to non-existent node or label "reg_dcdc2" arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb: ERROR (phandle_references): Reference to non-existent node or label "edt_ft5x06_pins_a" arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb: ERROR (phandle_references): Reference to non-existent node or label "edt_ft5x06_pins_b" arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb: ERROR (phandle_references): Reference to non-existent node or label "led_pins_bananapi" arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb: ERROR (phandle_references): Reference to non-existent node or label "gmac_power_pin_bananapi" ERROR: Input tree has errors, aborting (use -f to force output) scripts/Makefile.lib:327: recipe for target 'arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb' failed make[2]: *** [arch/arm/dts/sun7i-a20-bananapi.dtb] Error 2 dts/Makefile:44: recipe for target 'arch-dtbs' failed make[1]: *** [arch-dtbs] Error 2 Makefile:908: recipe for target 'dts/dt.dtb' failed make: *** [dts/dt.dtb] Error 2 [ error ] ERROR in function compile_uboot [ compilation.sh:173 ] [ error ] U-boot compilation failed [ o.k. ] Process terminated Could somebody check the file? Maybe I'm overseeing something? Thank you! sun7i-a20-bananapi.dts
  6. Hello Everybody, just having the same question.I want to use a 7" display on my banana PI with the current version of Armbian (4.14.14).Do I still have to go through the build process? I could find this comment telling that the drivers are now integrated https://docs.armbian.com/boards/bananapi/. How do I use the drivers? Thanks for any information! Regards Vore
