Armbian_5.89_Rk3399-tv_Ubuntu_bionic_default_4.4.154_desktop_20190627 magicee-n6-max -> Wifi Networks device not ready wifi used to work revert to Armbian_5.88_Rk3399-tv_Ubuntu_bionic_default_4.4.154_desktop_20190612 same wifi problem. Somehow after updates, wlan was borked. I'll try to fire up the original to see whether wlan is ok burned original 20190612 to sdcard, wlan still unavailable. Must be a hardware problem then

Just dicovered with 5.88 desktop unable to ssh into the box. Where can I find the sshd logs? Ok found it at /var/log/auth.log There seems to be a series of Jun 18 02:39:20 localhost agetty[27271]: /dev/ttyS0: not a tty messages filling up the log tried systemctl disable getty@ttyS0, doesn't stop it sshd keys needed regenerating systemctl disable serial-getty@ttyS0.service

magicsee-n6-max disco desktop NEXT missing magicsee dtb, so untested Went back to bionic, desktop looks sharper

Try editing /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf and uncommenting the line with rk3328-a5x.dtb in it, and commenting all other FDT lines. If that doesn't work try the other dtbs in /boot/dtb/rockchip/rk3328-a5x*

OK. A few weird things 1. htop does not show cpu temp 2. Preferred application launch error /usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/xfce4/exo-1/exo-helper-1 (No such file or directory) SOLVED: install libexo-1-0 3. ping: socket: Operation not permitted. which ping -> /usr/bin/ping instead of /bin/ping SOLVED: sudo setcap cap_net_raw+p /bin/ping

I guess the best I have so far is Magicsee N6 Max (~2300 events per second). I'll keep hammering on that box until something better comes along. Seem to be at Armbian 5.86 for a while now, but works great so far

Looks like it performs about the same as the rk3328. Looking via htop, does it run as hot?

OK. If you could run sysbench cpu --num-threads=4 --cpu-max-prime=20000 run maybe can compare events per sec with rk3328

rk3328-t9 works for me. rk3328-t9-fast gets random lock-ups

Understood. Installed 5.86_20190517 on sdcard magicsee-n6-max. Everything works well except bluetooth NEXT image, no dtb for magicsee
