  1. Hi everyone, after getting Igor's image for Jessie with kernel 3.4.109 on January 10th, I did an upgrade and now I get: uname -a Linux cubieVDR 3.4.110-sun7i #10 SMP PREEMPT Mon Dec 28 11:48:43 CET 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux However, unfortunately I also get modprobe bcmdhd modprobe: FATAL: Module bcmdhd not found. According to http://www.armbian.com/documentation/, it does not say anything about having to do something special to obtain the module in the section called "How to set wireless access point?". Also, on another machine running kernel 3.4.108, everything is working fine (see my post in this forum). What do I need to do to get the AP working? Cheers, chessplayer
  2. Good morning, I am trying to compile the lastest sources for the olinuxino-a20-micro and it fails on building libvdpau. 4. I actually did a search on the forum for these and found nothing, so now I'm asking for the help. Of coarse it could be I didn't know what I was looking at or understood it. I'm running a Cubie 2 with the desktop Armdian 1. Unable to copy and paste from or to termal 2. unable to add user (I did install lightdm) or go to a login screen 3. Unable to get the audio to go to the HDMI port so it will play thru the TV/Monitor 4 No package manager, is it possible to install one? I tried an apt-get install synaptic and got no where. 5. Unable to install ElectricSheep or the Xscreensaver (got partway in installing xsreensaver) Thanks Dave C

  9. Hello. I try enable 1wire on Cibieboard 2. Could anyone describe to me how to do it? Where is kernel source on debian jesssie on Armbian for CB2
  10. Aside from the DNS resolution issue I am having (different thread), I am often getting stuck on the following: Unpacking locales (from .../locales_2.13-38+deb7u8_all.deb) ... Processing triggers for man-db ... Setting up locales (2.13-38+deb7u8) ... Generating locales (this might take a while)... Generation complete. Generating locales (this might take a while)... en_US.UTF-8... done Generation complete. It just sits there and nothing further happens. I have left it for 30 minutes or more, and still nothing. I usually end up killing it... rebooting and then restarting. When it does get past this, I typically end up with the debian sources DNS resolution issue which I documented on a different thread. Any idea what is causing it to get stuck here? I am wondering if this is somehow related to the DNS resolution issue I am having as well. These problems only started occurring over the last couple days... I never had an issue with image generation before that. I did update to the latest libs a while ago, so I am not sure if something changed that is now contributing to this. Thanks.
  11. Hello Igor, I am using vanilla 4.4 for labomo-r1 it seems zram module is missing. Do you intend to compile the kernel with this option, please? gr@bpi:~$ sudo modprobe -Rf zram modprobe: FATAL: Module zram not found. On raspbian, kernel 3.18.x-4.1.x, there is a kernel module "zram" useful for embedded systems... working fine (also using on my x86 laptop) https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Zram Nice week-end, Regards, Guillaume

  16. dear All. I need CAN-BUS on my cubie2. I Found that I can reach it via PH20-PH21 Mux-4 and fortunately they are maped to extention port. So I made FEX modification like : [can_para] can_used = 1 can_tx = port:PH20<4><default><default><default> can_rx = port:PH21<4><default><default><default> Currently my board run with --> 3.4.107-cubietruck I found a banananian guy post ( http://www.lemaker.org/thread-13107-1-1.html ) a tutorial on how he make it for his BananaPI board. I tried to follow his step, but skip steps about uImage and firmware .. since I don't know how to adapt it to Armbian. when the proses complete, reboot ... I got /dev/can0 as expected but dmesg say alot of error about can4linux. I post error messages on pastebin --> http://pastebin.com/qp5Gnvj7 Kindly please give me any enlightenment to fix the problem. Sincerely -bino-
  17. I want to use debian wheezy for Olimex A20-micro. Please let me know whether it supports recording from microphone connector and audio out to headphone connector on board.Does there any audio breaking issues with this image or any other debian image. How to install it on Nand Memory of A20-micro board.
  18. Hi, Firstly, congratulations for your amazing work… it's impressive. I have a question regarding the SD image for A10 Lime (Linux 4.x)… Can I enable a raw serial device on /dev/ttyS1 which will use the uart0 of the FEX file? If I understand the FEX documentation, the FEX is no longer used on this kind of image, in favor of DTB files. So, how can I manage to modify the DTB file in order to customize my uart settings ? And, finally, how can I obtain a raw serial device on /dev/ttyS1 which will use it ? Regards, Anthony.
  19. Hi Igor, I grabbed your 4.1 image, flashed it onto the microsd Card and boot the cubietruck. However, I received the message from my display: Out of specification: 67.5kHz / 60 Hz. The first boot is ok, but after starting the kernel the screen turns black and above mentioned message apears. This happens on the analouge (VGA) input and on the digital input (DVI) as well. How to fix the problem?? I never had any display problems with all your images. never! This is the first time. I might to use your 4.0 image to return into operation again. regards, hitam4450

  21. Hi Igor, I encountered an issue on Bananapi with kernel 4.2 using your latest SDK: A reboot or powercycle will fail with getting eth0 up and running (no IP address). I tried these both combinations: u-boot: 2015.04 + kernel: 4.2 u-boot: 2015.07 + kernel: 4.2 dmesg delivers: [ 13.387092] sun7i-dwmac 1c50000.ethernet: no reset control found [ 13.394879] Ring mode enabled [ 13.402647] No HW DMA feature register supported [ 13.402814] Normal descriptors [ 13.418061] TX Checksum insertion supported [ 13.498887] libphy: PHY stmmac-0:ffffffff not found [ 13.507177] eth0: Could not attach to PHY [ 13.515283] stmmac_open: Cannot attach to PHY (error: -19) [ 13.615876] libphy: stmmac: probed [ 13.623515] eth0: PHY ID 001cc915 at 0 IRQ POLL (stmmac-0:00) active [ 13.631591] eth0: PHY ID 001cc915 at 1 IRQ POLL (stmmac-0:01) [ 98.534925] nf_conntrack version 0.5.0 (15937 buckets, 63748 max) Don't know if eth0 interface received a new code base. Using a search engine I only found links related to sunxi 1Gbps eth0 interface which were fixed in u-boot. That's the reason I tried both u-boot releases with kernel 4.2. Compared with u-boot: 2015.04 and kernel: 4.1.6 (used branch 'next' with some warning messages during patch process but not related to BPi): [ 11.861140] EXT4-fs (mmcblk0p1): re-mounted. 23. As soon as I installed the latest version of the Wheezy I have found that there is some problem with an USB. When I start my Orange PI I can see that USB devices are power supplied from the bus only first a few seconds (when the bootloader is active I guess) and then being switched off. When I plug an USB device and supply it externally then it seems to be working well. My question is: how to switch on power supply of the USB port on my Orange PI? I have read a number of linux forums and found nothing. Very promising seems a command echo on > /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb1/power/level or similar but unfortunately it has no effect. Any hint, guys? Thanks a lot. Radek
  24. How can I disable the auto login as the root user in the cubietruck ubuntu (XFCE)? That does not sound a good idea. How could I auto login with a different user? The GUI settings editor "display chooser" inside Session Startup doesnt work. I've been looking around how to do that, but in this case I cant find the config file which was supposed to be inside /etc/lightdm/ Thanks and congratulations for your work.
