  1. Hi All, I'm trying to enable SPI2 on a A20 Olinuxino LIME board. I found an old post on this forum regarding LIME2, so I try the same and in armbianEnv.txt I add the lines: overlays=spi2 spi-spidev param_spidev_spi_bus=2 param_spi2_bus_pins=b At reboot, the message: Failed to load '/boot/dtb/overlay/sun7i-a20-spi2.dtbo' I think because the file is not found Only SPI0 is active How can I enable SPI2 ? Thanks in advance PaoloC
  2. Hello, I try to re-install my olimex lime 1, but I'm unable to boot from the current buster image. For now, here's what I do to flash the sd card: % wget -c "https://dl.armbian.com/lime/Buster_current" % mv Buster_current Armbian_20.02.1_Lime_buster_current_5.4.20.7z % 7z x Armbian_20.02.1_Lime_buster_current_5.4.20.7z % sudo sh -c "dd if=Armbian_20.02.1_Lime_buster_current_5.4.20.img of=/dev/sdc bs=1M" And I come up with a result like this: % sudo sfdisk -d /dev/sdc label: dos label-id: 0xd9b237ef device: /dev/sdc unit: sectors /dev/sdc1 : start= 8192, size= 2318336, type=83 Is this empty space before the first partition normal or am I missing something?
  3. I'm trying to disable the HDMI output on my A20-OlinuXino LIME. I have tried to disable the HDMI from the u-boot console using this commands : -setenv video-mode sunxi:1024x768-24@60,monitor=none -saveenv I have also tried to recompile the boot.cmd but even in this way nothing. Corrently i'm using : Linux lime 4.19.62-sunxi #5.92 Where is my mistake? Thanks in advance.
  4. I'm running the latest lime1 armbian (linux 4.14) and am having great difficulty controlling the mic levels. amixer yields: Simple mixer control 'Left Mixer Left DAC',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [off] Simple mixer control 'Power Amplifier',0 Capabilities: volume volume-joined Playback channels: Mono Capture channels: Mono Limits: 0 - 63 Mono: 48 [76%] [-15.00dB] Simple mixer control 'Power Amplifier DAC',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [on] Simple mixer control 'Power Amplifier Mixer',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [on] Simple mixer control 'Power Amplifier Mute',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [on] Simple mixer control 'Right Mixer Left DAC',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [off] Simple mixer control 'Right Mixer Right DAC',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [off] which does not include any control for the mic. Using alsamixer a mix control is presented in the capture view, but it appears to be a duplicate of the speaker volume adjusting that instead. Playback and record both work, I am just unable to control the recording volume in anyway. Has anybody else had this issue and been able to get the mic volume working on this platform? I'd really appreciate knowing how you resolved it.
  5. I have 1 "Customised Olimex Lime A20 SBC with RTL-SDR chip installed in the board (AirNav XRANGE). Currently the OS I'm using is the Lime A20 Armbian Stretch 4.14.84, everything is works fine except for the 2 GPIO LED. I have no idea how to let it work. I have the edited "sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb" from Armbian Jessie 4.11.5 which is mainly for the board. May I know is there a way to incorporated the "Armbian Jessie 4.11.5's sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb into the A20 Armbian Stretch 4.14.84 so that the 2 LEDs will work again? The edited dtc for LEDs to work "sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb" attached. Hope to get some experts to assist me on this matter. Thanks in advance. Regards, SaiHou sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb 4.14.84 - sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb
  6. Hi folks, I am trying for couple of days now to put Lime1 to sleep and then wake it up, both by software and user interaction. Problem description: I am able to put board to sleep with any of the following commands: rtcwake -m standby -s 10 echo "standby" > /sys/power/state When device is on battery I can see it consuming ~0.7A while it works normally and once i execute one of the above commands it drops down to about ~0.25A leading me to conclusion that device has indeed in sleep. Here is how I ran rtcwake to make sure RTC clock is up and running: root@lime:/etc/systemd/system# hwclock -w root@lime:/etc/systemd/system# hwclock Mon 10 Sep 2018 08:21:03 PM UTC .218585 seconds root@lime:/etc/systemd/system# hwclock Mon 10 Sep 2018 08:21:09 PM UTC .338408 seconds root@lime:/etc/systemd/system# sudo rtcwake -m standby -s 10 rtcwake: wakeup from "standby" using /dev/rtc0 at Mon Sep 10 20:21:39 2018 Once device is in sleep, I am not able to wake it up no matter what I do, only way to "recover" the device is to long press power button until it turns off (hard shutdown) (this happens with both rtcwake and /sys/power/state), then release and long press again to turn it on. What have I tried: I fiddled around with script.fex file to no avail. What I am using at the moment for pmu part is below (if you need other sections I can send them on, wanted to keep the post short...) System information: A20 processor on A10-OlinuXino-Lime Rev.E board without eMMC. Downloaded and using "Desktop" image from https://www.armbian.com/olimex-lime/ U-Boot SPL 2017.11-armbian (Jan 25 2018 - 01:01:48) root@lime:~# uname -a Linux lime 3.4.113-sun7i #16 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 24 19:20:59 CET 2018 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux root@lime:~# cat /etc/os-release NAME="Ubuntu" VERSION="16.04.5 LTS (Xenial Xerus)" Any idea what can I do to somehow wake up the device? Any other info I can provide? Thanks for any help you can provide.
  7. Hello, After I run apt-get update and upgrade, I lose the sound card: aplay -l aplay: device_list:268: no soundcards found... If I check my upgrade history, I can see the following: cat /var/log/apt/history.log Start-Date: 2018-03-16 22:33:12 Commandline: apt-get upgrade Upgrade: libgssapi-krb5-2:armhf (1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u2, 1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u4), tzdata:armhf (2017b-0+deb8u1, 2018c-0+deb8u1), ncurses-term:armhf (5.9+20140913-1, 5.9+20140913-1+deb8u2), libkrb5-3:armhf (1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u2, 1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u4), libk5crypto3:armhf (1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u2, 1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u4), linux-image-next-sunxi:armhf (5.34, 5.41), armbian-firmware:armhf (5.34, 5.38), libcurl3:armhf (7.38.0-4+deb8u9, 7.38.0-4+deb8u10), openssh-sftp-server:armhf (6.7p1-5+deb8u3, 6.7p1-5+deb8u4), sudo:armhf (1.8.10p3-1+deb8u4, 1.8.10p3-1+deb8u5), linux-u-boot-lime-next:armhf (5.34, 5.38), openssh-server:armhf (6.7p1-5+deb8u3, 6.7p1-5+deb8u4), libkrb5support0:armhf (1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u2, 1.12.1+dfsg-19+deb8u4), hostapd:armhf (2.6-4~armbian5.34.171017+1, 2.6-4~armbian5.38+1), curl:armhf (7.38.0-4+deb8u9, 7.38.0-4+deb8u10), base-files:armhf (8+deb8u9, 8+deb8u10), libdb5.3:armhf (5.3.28-9, 5.3.28-9+deb8u1), ncurses-bin:armhf (5.9+20140913-1+b1, 5.9+20140913-1+deb8u2), linux-dtb-next-sunxi:armhf (5.34, 5.41), openssh-client:armhf (6.7p1-5+deb8u3, 6.7p1-5+deb8u4), libcurl3-gnutls:armhf (7.38.0-4+deb8u9, 7.38.0-4+deb8u10), armbian-tools-jessie:armhf (5.34, 5.38), sunxi-tools:armhf (1.4.2-1~armbian5.34.171017+1, 1.4.2-2~armbian5.38+1), libicu52:armhf (52.1-8+deb8u5, 52.1-8+deb8u6), linux-jessie-root-next-lime:armhf (5.34, 5.38), libtinfo5:armhf (5.9+20140913-1+b1, 5.9+20140913-1+deb8u2), libncursesw5:armhf (5.9+20140913-1+b1, 5.9+20140913-1+deb8u2), libncurses5:armhf (5.9+20140913-1+b1, 5.9+20140913-1+deb8u2), ncurses-base:armhf (5.9+20140913-1, 5.9+20140913-1+deb8u2) End-Date: 2018-03-16 22:36:11 In the following pictures you can see the modules of the system, before and after the upgrade process Why have I lost the sun4i_codec and snd_soc_core ? what can I do to enable the sound card again ? 8. Hello, I have just built an image with the default parameters of the Lime A20 board. It seems that the system does not detect any sound card. aplay -l aplay: device_list:268: no soundcards found... uname -a Linux lime 4.13.6-sunxi lsmod Module Size Used by cfg80211 376832 0 rfkill 20480 1 cfg80211 sun4i_gpadc_iio 16384 0 evdev 20480 1 at24 16384 0 sun4i_ts 16384 0 sun4i_gpadc 16384 0 nvmem_sunxi_sid 16384 0 sun4i_ss 24576 0 uio_pdrv_genirq 16384 0 uio 16384 1 uio_pdrv_genirq As you can see above, there is no module related to sound. If i use the same SD card with this image built in a Cubieboard2, i get the same error. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.
  9. Hello, I get an error when i try to use the PH5 pin as digital output. PH5 is the number 229 according to the following equation: (8-1)*32+5 = 229 echo 229 > /sys/class/gpio/export -bash: echo: write error: Device or resource busy If i use other pins like PH13, PH19, PH20 or PH21, all work correctly. For example, for PH13 as digital output: echo 237 > /sys/class/gpio/export echo "out" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio237/direction echo "1" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio237/value echo "0" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio237/value echo 237 > /sys/class/gpio/unexport I get the same error in the Cubieboard2 and the Lime A20 board. Can someone help me ? Thanks in advance
  10. Hello everyone, I'm having some isues with my olimex board. It boots fine on the images supplied by olimex. But the Armbian legacy images wont boot. I have a serial connection to the board it hangs on the following line: <6>axp20_ldo2: 1800 <--> 3300 mV at 3000 mV. http://pastebin.com/nEHAiZHa I need legacy for i2s support so mainline isnt an option. I use the following board(tried 3 of these): https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/A20/A20-OLinuXino-LIME-4GB/open-source-hardware I used the following armbian image (jessie and wheezy give the same error): http://www.armbian.com/olimex-lime/ Building the image myself also doesnt work. Anbody knows what i am doing wrong ?
  11. I'm trying to figure out why Firefox-esr crashes form time to time on my Olinuxino-Lime A20. I also have a Banana PI (also A20) and on that board Firefox never crashes. On both boards I use the legacy kernel, and I use uBlock adblocker on both boards. The Olinuxino has 512 MB RAM and the Banana Pi 1 GB. Googling around I found out that crashreports could be viewed on "about:crashes" or on ~/.mozilla/firefox/crashes. However, there is no such file. Do youi have any suggestions on where to find crashreports? Thanks in advance and much appreciation for your continuous work on the Armbian distribution!
  12. Hello everybody I expose my problem ... I create my own a20 card ( based on olimex a20 lime) ( 90% similar ) I have no problem with the hardware ....all work except ....leds ( you know in /sys/class/leds ....) But i need 3 leds ... so i write this in dts file ( sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dts) leds { compatible = "gpio-leds"; pinctrl-names = "default"; pinctrl-0 = <&led_pins_olinuxinolime>; green { label = "a20-olinuxino-lime:green:usr"; gpios = <&pio 7 2 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; default-state = "on"; }; red { label = "a20-olinuxino-lime:red:usr"; gpios = <&pio 7 0 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; default-state = "on"; }; blue { label = "a20-olinuxino-lime:blue:usr"; gpios = <&pio 3 27 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; default-state = "on"; }; }; and instead of led_pins_olinuxinolime: led_pins@0 { allwinner,pins = "PH2" allwinner,function = "gpio_out"; allwinner,drive = <SUN4I_PINCTRL_20_MA>; allwinner,pull = <SUN4I_PINCTRL_NO_PULL>; i wrote led_pins_olinuxinolime: led_pins@0 { allwinner,pins = "PH2", "PH0" , "PD27"; allwinner,function = "gpio_out"; allwinner,drive = <SUN4I_PINCTRL_20_MA>; allwinner,pull = <SUN4I_PINCTRL_NO_PULL>; }; }; It work fine with 4.4xx version of kernel and armbian 5 But i need some 4.6.1 functionnality's So i download the armbian 5.14 ( and i build kernel 4.6.1) All hardware is ok and work except leds After a ./ compile ( completed ) , i changed the the dts file with my leds parameters ...and nothing ....I have only the "green" led (in /sys/class/leds/ ) So i suppose that dts files were compiled the first time and will be never compiled again Or .... if you have a solution it will be cool ! I just going to be crazy Thanks a lot Ps: Excuse me for my very bad english .....I'm french
  13. Hi, Recently I've made a custom kernel for an Olimex Lime board. The NAND driver refused to load and reported "kernel divide by zero". I believe the problem is in drivers/block/sunxi-nand/nfd/nand_block.c in function get_cmu_clk. The function (with my patch line) is: __u32 get_cmu_clk(void) { __u32 reg_val; __u32 div_p, factor_n; __u32 factor_k, factor_m; __u32 clock; reg_val = *(volatile unsigned int *)(0xf1c20000 + 0x20); div_p = (reg_val >> 16) & 0x3; factor_n = (reg_val >> 8) & 0x1f; factor_k = ((reg_val >> 4) & 0x3) + 1; factor_m = ((reg_val >> 0) & 0x3) + 1; div_p = 1 << ((reg_val >> 16) & 0x3)); // SJS 2016-04-30 clock = 24 * factor_n * factor_k/div_p/factor_m; return clock; } The problem occurs on my Lime board because Pll5.FactorP (div_p above) is zero. Other A20 boards have 1 here and I haven't figured why the Lime board is different. The A20 manual states FactorP is a two-bit field that can be 1/2/4/8. This means the value stored here is a power of two rather than a plain divisor. So I added the patch line to calculate the correct divisor. Any opinions or comments please ? The lt;< above is because HTML choke on less-than signs. Update: Testing on other boards shows that NAND access only works when div_p is set to 1. Maybe it should be dropped from the equation. Cheers, Steven
  14. HI, I'm testing Debian wheezy, for now work well but i cant use LCD How do I change display out ?...in olimex image I had some script like ./change_display Thanks
