  1. Hello everyone, I've got an orange pi pite 2, I install in my sd card armbian, it start but when I login and create a new account and reboot, I see termianl and not the desktop of armbian, If i reboot it ask me again to login, but I can'f see the terminal.... PLEASE HELP....... THANKS
  2. The problem I have an USB endoscope camera that works fine with my Orange Pi lite's normal USB port. However I need both USB port for other devices, so I want to connect this same USB camera, which was orginally marketed as USB otg camera for android phones, using Opi lite's micro usb otg connector. What have I tried - In armbian-config menu, I have enabled usbhost0. I believe this overlay is for the usb otg port, but just to be sure I also enabled usbhost1, usbhost2 and usbhost3. - Using dtc I decompiled sun8i-h3-orangepi-lite.dtb into sun8i-h3-orangepi-lite.dtc. - In this dtc file, I looked up musb, and changed status = "disabled" to "okay", and added dr_mode = "host", like this usb@01c19000 { compatible = "allwinner,sun8i-h3-musb"; reg = <0x1c19000 0x400>; clocks = <0x6 0x20>; resets = <0x6 0x11>; interrupts = <0x0 0x47 0x4>; interrupt-names = "mc"; phys = <0x18 0x0>; phy-names = "usb"; extcon = <0x18 0x0>; status = "okay"; linux, phandle = <0x47>; phandle = <0x47>; dr_mode = "host" }; - Again with dtc, I compiled the dts to dtb file which replaced the old one (I've made backup). - After reboot, this seemed to have done something root@orangepilite:~$ dmesg |grep musb [ 4.086014] musb-hdrc musb-hdrc.1.auto: MUSB HDRC host driver [ 4.086025] musb-hdrc musb-hdrc.1.auto: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 9 [ 4.086290] usb usb9: Manufacturer: Linux 4.14.78-sunxi musb-hcd [ 4.086295] usb usb9: SerialNumber: musb-hdrc.1.auto However, when I connect the camera to the usb otg port, it doesn't work. The LED's on the camera doesn't turn on (so there is probably no power coming from the port, also there are no video devices on /dev/. How do I connect my camera to the micro usb port on Orange pi lite?

  5. Is there any other firmware for the AP6255 available, besides the one made available for Khadas VIM at https://github.com/khadas/android_hardware_amlogic_wifi/tree/Vim/bcm_ampak/config/6255/BT or the one for the Raspberry Pi 3+ available e.g. at https://github.com/OpenELEC/misc-firmware/blob/master/firmware/brcm/BCM43430A1.hcd which uses also the same chipset? I am trying to make Bluetooth working on an Orange Pi Lite2. So far I had no success loading the firmware by issuing root@orangepilite2:~# brcm_patchram_plus --patchram /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM43430A1.hcd --enable_hci --bd_addr 11:22:33:44:55:66 --no2bytes --tosleep 1000 /dev/ttyS1 root@orangepilite2:~# brcm_patchram_plus --patchram /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM4345C0.hcd --enable_hci --bd_addr 11:22:33:44:55:66 --no2bytes --tosleep 1000 /dev/ttyS1 Any suggestions?

  7. Hey all, I understand these things are in active development at the moment. I was attempting to use the usb 3.0 socket on the lite 2 with stretch, except it did not respond at all - looking at dmesg shows the following error: [ 1.806055] sun4i-usb-phy 5100400.phy: Couldn't get regulator usb0_vbus... Deferring probe [ 1.806320] sun50i-usb3-phy 5210000.phy: failed to get phy clock which from my limited experience with linux kernel seems to indicate that the device tree config may be incorrect for the board - as most searching for these errors show the code added as part of updates to get the pine64 board's usb 3.0 stack working. USB 2.0 socket is working on the board. if need be i can test nightly's (i don't have a linux environment to hand to compile a kernel myself, and i do have a serial device i can connect to get raw output - just need to look up pinouts to ensure i connect it correctly). link to full dmesg if it is useful: https://pastebin.com/4vJDxk9N

  9. I have bought 3 OPi Lite 2 (H6 based) dev boards. Just downloaded the latest Bionic image at the following link: https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-lite-2/ I understand it's WIP. However, it seems to have issue on booting up. I connected HDMI cable and upon boot up, I could see init info on the screen, then it says, starting Kernel ... , then screen goes no signal, power LED stays RED forever. I read that the current image seems to have issue on HDMI. But it worked with HDMI upon initial bootup, then stopped working. My problem is that without HDMI, how could I edit the WIFI config to have the board connected to my network thus to SSH into the board for further dev? Can anyone provide a link to an known working image or guide me how to configure WIFI without HDMI output? Thanks!
  10. RT, i am trying to use git and aarch64 tools to compile a lastest u-boot by my own,but ,it failed. there're the steps i was doing: 1. downloads the latest u-boot source code from offical web: git clone git://git.denx.de/u-boot.git 2.downloads the ARM Trusted Firmware from offcial web: git clone https://github.com/ARM-software/arm-trusted-firmware 3.compile the ATF for BL31 by using this cmd: sudo make CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-linux-gnu- PLAT=sun50i_h6 all and then move the BL31 file into the u-boot root fold. 4. compile the u-boot for H6 by using this cmd: sudo make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-linux-gnu- orangepi_lite2_defconfig sudo make 5.burn the u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin file on SD card following the README.sunxi64 file dd if=u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin of=/dev/sdx bs=8k seek=1 6.plug in the sd card and connect the uart port and power on,i think and i am sure the default baudrate is 115200, but when i open the terminal and try to read and debug the u-boot,it displayed as blow: " 膂秜? Latest doesn't seem to work at all, so something like 5.59 4.18.0-rc7-sunxi64 mentioned here https://github.com/armbian/testings would be ideal. Alternatively is there a way I can build old version myself? I ran ./compile docker BOARD=orangepilite2 BRANCH=dev but resulting image doesn't work also.
  12. hello , I have Opi lite 2 I want to use it as low load server with minimal power consumption (min temp) I edited /etc/default/cpufrequtils like that min_speed=120000 max_speed=480000 governor=ondemand but it works on 888mhz constantly with load and without load (image 2) Ps: I have also OPi PC+ and edit of cpufrequtils works ok on it (image 1) what am I do wrong, or maybe armbian-config monitor doesn't work properly ? 15. The current image for OrangePiLite2 Armbian Bionic/Stretch not booting I tried, Armbian_5.64.181019_Orangepilite2_Ubuntu_bionic_dev_4.18.15 and Armbian_5.64.181023_Orangepilite2_Debian_stretch_dev_4.18.16. When connected to HDMI monitor, I just a red light up and nothing else. However, this version of image works, Armbian_5.59.180824_Orangepilite2_Debian_stretch_dev_4.18.0-rc7
  16. Recently I tested armbian stretch for orange pi lite2. If there is not other task except system, there work fine. But if there are some high cpu tasks, such as unzip, the system load will go high, and not go to lower level when task done. When the system load is higher than 4, the response of the system is laggy, when go higher, the system will go no response. I use uptime to test the system load, when boot, the 1min load will be at 3.xx and go down slowly. When no task, the load will lower than 0.5.
  17. Can someone recommend a good & cheap heatsink for the Lite2 from Aliexpress?
  18. Hi, I recently read from github testings of orange pi lite2 testing that wireless is working. But I download from the official website of https://dl.armbian.com/orangepilite2/Debian_stretch_dev_nightly.7z(built 0824) and burn it, it starts, but the wireless is missing. I also read that the firmware added ap6255 wireless driver, so I download https://beta.armbian.com/pool/main/a/armbian-firmware-full/armbian-firmware-full_5.59.180915_all.deb and installed it. After reboot, the wireless is still missing. So the support of wireless is built-in or usb? Should I build armbian myself with the lastest code to support the built-in wireless? Thank you.

  22. Hi, I have flashed Armbian_5.35_Orangepilite_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113_desktop.img - and it works fine with my Orange Pi Lite v.1.1 But if I flash Armbian_5.38_Orangepilite_Debian_stretch_next_4.14.14.img which is aslo supported, the device does not boot. At least I get no output on HDMI, and no serial console over OTG. So I cannot check if it does not boot at all, or dies somewhere in the middle How can I check why it does not boot?
  23. I am building armbian with mainline kernel (4.14.19) on jessie for OrangePi Lite... Sometimes on booting my Pi Lite, the wifi does not work. I cannot create hotspot and connecting to existing networks will not work. A short time after booting I see the following messages in the dmesg log [ 102.077151] sunxi-mmc 1c10000.mmc: send stop command failed [ 102.077184] sunxi-mmc 1c10000.mmc: data error, sending stop command If I remove and reload the 8189fs module I will see the following error in the dmesg log [ 572.371452] rtl8189fs: probe of mmc1:0001:1 failed with error -110 If I don't see the mmc errors after startup (say 5 minutes) the wifi works fine. I can also remove and reload the kernel module as I please and create a hotspot or connect to an existing network. Has anyone else seen this problem or have any workarounds?
  24. Hi, I thought instead of waiting for mainline kernel support for these boards, if it would be possible to use Allwinner H6 BSP 4.9.56 kernel? Found at https://github.com/Allwinner-Homlet/H6-BSP4.9-linux I am able to compile it on Sunxi's Ubuntu 16.04 Beta image, however from the serial output it seems to at least have trouble with the sd card initializing. I tried to copy over the sd card information in sdmmc@04020000 from Sunix's own /boot/orangepi/OrangePiH6.dtb into Allwinners sun50iw6p1.dtsi but the boot only went a little further ending in a similar kernel panic to when I used the the BSP4.9 with Sunxi's original OrangePiH6.dtb. I am not very skilled at this and do not think I can finish it off, if it's possible at all. I copy the dtb to the same folder with the same filename in my testing. Apparently most of the drivers work, including the cpufreq which is what is notably missing in the current Armbian WPI images. The old BSP 3.10.65 kernel is next to impossible to use any usb wifi dongles for the One Plus. I have attached the output of my experiments.
