  3. Hi, I'm Olivier, french engineer, and i have bought an orangepi plus card in april. I use linux (x86) since 1994 Sorry for my bad english ... I was happy to find Armbian because linux images provided by xunlong have many security problems (example / and all system directory aren't owned by root but by orangepi user). Thank for your work on Armbian. My Orangepi + has been installed with a 5.10 armbian image (Armbian_5.10_Orangepiplus_Debian_jessie_3.4.112) and run perfectly. I wanted upgrade to 5.20 and since the card doesn't boot anymore. I can boot with the native android on NAND memory but I can't boot on SDcard. When I boot on sdcard, only green led is on (not red led) and I don't have any display on my HDMI screen. I can restore my sdcard image back up with v5.10 and boot again, the card is OK for me. I followed the upgrade documentation to pass from v5.10 to v5.20 : apt-get update apt-get upgrade apt-get install -f apt-get upgrade apt-get autoremove -y and i had an error message during first apt-get upgrade : /boot/initrd.img-3.4.112-sun8i does not exist. Cannot update. I can mount the sdcard on my linux box (an archlinux) and list directories without problem : on my sdcard image backup (v5.10), in /boot I have : Any idea ? here is the all message of upgrade process :
  4. Hi. My platform is Orange Pi Plus. I connected SATA HDD and installed Armbian. Using nand-sata-install I created the following scenario: boot from SD, system on SATA. I also installed lighttpd. Several days everything works fine and than: ...file system on the root filesystem failed … rebooting automatically due to panic= boot argument... After that the PC just reboots constantly and I can do anything. The only solution I found is to repeat the process of boot SD creation. But after that I need to install everything again. All this I already did for several times... What maybe the reason of this error? Can I exclude the SD card and use eMMC instead? Is there anything I can try in this situation? Thanks.
  5. Hi dear. I have some question about orangepi plus. I am using orangepi+ and The latest Armbian Debian Version was installed in emmc. and i have some BLE Module. but, when i add my module to gpio pin, i can see I/O Error..but it's not always, somtimes there is no error. and when i boot orangepi-plus, it is PULL-UP state. i don't know this reason, how can change default gpio pull-up or pull-down state? or you have some idea? thanks
  6. Hello, I have an Orange Pi+ 2 and Orange Pi+ 2e. I use Armbian, updated to 5.20 with these commands: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade so I rebooted and can't start. What can I do? Thanks
  7. First of all ('Boring' alert!): outstanding job with the new updates. It must be lonely at the top. Kudos! Then (just curious!): is there any particular reason known that the amount of memory is an issue for GLshim? Then secondly: I do have an orange pi + (H3, 1 GB memory, Mali400)... according to the changelog GLShim is not in... For me it does not make sense... Regards, Makama80

  10. I've installed Armbian_5.14_Orangepiplus_Debian_jessie_3.4.112_desktop on a ORANGE PI PLUS 2 H3 QUAD CORE 1,6Gz / _ \ _ __ __ _ _ __ __ _ ___ | _ \(_) _ | | | | '__/ _` | '_ \ / _` |/ _ \ | |_) | |_| |_ | |_| | | | (_| | | | | (_| | __/ | __/| |_ _| \___/|_| \__,_|_| |_|\__, |\___| |_| |_| |_| |___/ Welcome to ARMBIAN Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 3.4.112-sun8i System load: 0.52 Up time: 1 min Memory usage: 14 % of 2013Mb CPU temp: 59°C Usage of /: 19% of 15G then installed lightdm and running the xfce4 desktop with HDMI monitor of 1920x1080 I can't set resolution more than 1280, but the big problem is that video isn't fluid, i.e. if you move mouse, you can't see the arrow moving, and if you open firefox get the same behaviour, it's like a set of snapshot, not a fluid motion. Can this be fixed or am I the only one that is experiencing this? Would you suggest this setup for a web kiosk or are there better options? Thansk, BR
  11. The program nand-sata-installer doesn't work to put the image on the onboard storage with all 4.X kernels (orange pi plus wifi/nand). When i use the older kernel it works fine without any issue. Also when i compile this image by myself it doesn't work either Is there a way to put the SD image to the local storage and how can i do this with this 4.x kernel?
  12. First off, I'd like to thank the maintainers for all the work you've put into Armbian. It's really been a pleasure to use. I'm currently using an OrangePI 2+as a kiosk computer, and I'm wondering if there might be some other way to wake it from sleep other than pressing the power button. Would it be possible for it to wake from sleep if one of the GPIO pins were pulled high, for instance? TIA, -Jim
  13. Hi, I'm new user. I want to install owncloud in my orange pi+2. Someone can help?
  14. Is there any way to get a video player to display subtitles on an H3 board? I've tried VLC and SMPlayer, but neither are able to do so (the problem seems to be that the video output is overlayed *over* the system display rather than mixed with it on a per-pixel basis, so while the subtitles are being displayed by the player, they simply aren't visible). Is there any adjustment/update/other player I can use to fix this problem? Orange Pi Plus 2 I have armbian 5.05 installed, so not sure if there are any updates that might help?
  15. Hello, I have on my Orange Pi 2+ and Orange Pi 2+e Armbian 5.14 and 5.16 and both have the same problem: WiFi isn't constant. The signal fluctuates from 48% to 92% or from 20% to -1%. There is no difference with or without a LAN cable. When I connect the Orange Pi with a WiFi network the signal is constant. Is there somebody, who knows how to fix this problem?
  16. Hi all Need's help, my devoces orange pi plus 2 and distibtion os armbian server, me need hardware acceleration on plexmediaserver, i used more ways, did not help.

  18. Hi, I bought about a year ago an orange pi plus. Just a few weeks ago, i tryed the new distro's I love to have debian on the board. And like your distro verry much. I have 2 problems: 1) If i download the file for orangepiplus, the board does nothing. No leds go on, no grafics on screen, nothing I also tryed at home compiling it myself. The result is the same nothing. My Orange Pi Plus has an H3 processor - it is one of the first OrangePi Plus boards. (Is this an error in your piplus distro - just because loborus for piplus works) 2) If i download the orangepih3 file, the board will startup. I can not run sata-nand, because i get an error - about incorrect hardware the ethernet eth0 does not respond, at boot time it waits for about 1:35 min:sec trying to bring it up. Eth0 shows up, but did not get configuration from dhcp. I can give eth0 an ip/mask/gateway but eth0 will not work (i can use an usb-eth adapter as eth1, this works) I have the same problem with loborus debian_wheezy --> no eth0 I can download lubuntu from the orangepi.org (2015-06-25) and this works, also the eth0 works. Can you help I want to try to get you orangePiPlus disto working on my Orangepi Thx
  19. Hi, Just installed Armbian (5.14) on SD card and tried in my OrangePi plus. It doesn't start to boot - it does nothing. I can boot by initiating boot from the system console. I've upgraded to 5.16 but still doesn't boot. Also where do I get gpio? I notice /boot/boot.cmd uses gpio but it doesn't exist. Thanks
  20. Greeting, I installed the OrangePI plus image (desktop) on my Orange PI plus2. It seems to work fine but I can't get any video output. I tested with several h3disp settings, with a HDMI to VGA adapter then with an HDMI to DVI adapter, and finally on the A/V port. I have no hdmi screen to test direct connection without adapters. Ideally I would like to use the HDMI to VGA adapter. any ideas ?
  21. Hi, I would like to make my opi plus in AP mode (standalone). I know the img is shipped with hostapd and interface.hostapd ready but is in bridge mode. I am able to use it in bridge mode but i need it to be standalone. How can i set it to just standalone? I tried install dnsmasq and disable the br0 but i think i did something wrong and the board cant be connected. Cheers
