  1. Hi guys, I have PCDuino 3 Nano which worked fine on latest ARMBIAN on Debian Jessie which is moving to EOL and armbian support for this board was dropped due to lack of devices. I have used it mainly as OMV sever with sata drive but now I migrate to a x86 install and this board will be wiped as I would like to use at as vpn server etc. What are my alternatives? I know that still are a lot of A20 boards that have armbian support. Which of them I can use and what probably won't work?
  2. After along time I downloaded a new armbian image, after doing apt update/upgrade for the last year or so. I was quite surprised to see that the pcduino3nano is now deprecated, while other A20 boards are still supported. What was the exact reason that the pcduino3nano was dropped from support? If I keep using the deprecated OS, can I fully use apt update/upgrade for all user stuff? What would happen to all kernel and u-boot update packages? Is the latest armbian for the pcduino3nano automatically disabling those updates, or do I need to do something manually? *should* I block kernel & u-boot updates? thanks, Michale Jasson

  4. Is there the support for hardware interrupts on pcDuino3nano gpio2(GPIO231) or gpio3(GPIO230) in Armbian mainline, as it worked on Lubuntu ? How can it be installed/enabled ?
  5. Hello, I just updated my pcduino3 nano with armbian mainline 4.9.7 download on SD card and now the onboard ethernet port fials. I am using a USB to ethernet for now with no problems. Below are the messages I get during boot Feb 22 14:35:23 localhost kernel: [ 2435.162554] sun7i-dwmac 1c50000.ethernet: Failed to reset the dma Feb 22 14:35:23 localhost kernel: [ 2435.168668] stmmac_hw_setup: DMA engine initialization failed Feb 22 14:35:23 localhost kernel: [ 2435.174517] stmmac_open: Hw setup failed I have tried several times to reset via cli and NetworkManager with the same results. ip a & ip link show as down seen in ifconfig but not able to change state I am guessing the fix wil need to be during boot. Anyone run into this? Thanks for any help here! Dave
  6. I downloaded: http://mirror.igorpecovnik.com/Armbian_5.10_Pcduino3nano_Debian_jessie_4.5.2_desktop.7z and burned it to an SD card, when I tried booting the board, all I get on the uart console is the u-boot SPL signon message +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ U-Boot SPL 2016.01-armbian-sun8i (May 01 2016 - 01:05:19) DRAM: 1024 MiB CPU: 912000000Hz, AXI/AHB/APB: 3/2/2 Could not determine boot source resetting ... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This repeats forever... I had previously used: http://mirror.igorpecovnik.com/Armbian_5.00_Pcduino3nano_Debian_jessie_4.4.1.zip and it worked fine on the same board. I tried recompiling u-boot from source using the Armbian build tools, with the same result. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ U-Boot SPL 2016.05-rc3-armbian (May 01 2016 - 10:57:44) DRAM: 1024 MiB CPU: 912000000Hz, AXI/AHB/APB: 3/2/2 Could not determine boot source resetting ... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The board is a PcDuino3 Nano Lite which is the same as the non-Lite version except it is missing the NAND and IR receiver. any thoughts on what might be wrong?? ...ken...
  7. Is there anywhere examples, samples or tests for CAN driver using MCP2515 controller via SPI ? Board is Pcduino3-nano with Armbian5 & Mayby, any other CAN driver usage demo or samples on Pcduino3-nano ?
  8. Greetings - I'm trying to use the UART2 port (Connector J11 pins 1 and 2) and I'm not having much luck with Armbian 5.0 Vanilla. There are /dev/ttyS0-7 listed, but I get nothing from them (save ttyS0 which is the main console and in use by getty). I found several other articles in here talking about how to expose the GPIO pins, but I could not see how to set the "mode" of them. Any assistance would be appreciated!
  9. Normally the 'shutdown now' sequence makes my monitor 'lost connection' message appear but with this image the shutdown process do not finalize correctly...
