BeetleX
Hi, I upgraded 4.13.16-sunxi to 4.19.47 Seems all went fine. but after reboot the former 4.13.16 kernel is still active. My cubietruck runs sd-card+ssd with system moved to ssd by armbian-config. Maybe the issue has to do with the sd-card/ssd booting sequence? If I have the sd-card/ssd system up and running, will the sd-card be touched with later kernel upgrades too, or just the root system at ssd? The issue is your SD card boot has to remain mounted to /boot ... if you removed things from fstab or your initial installation was very very old upgrade might not work properly. Copy /boot from SSD to /boot on SD card and it should be fine.
