NanoPI M4 and HDCP

Hi,

 

I'm running Armbian Bionic 4.4 (Linux nanopim4 4.4.190-rk3399 #5 SMP Sun Sep 1 23:12:43 CEST 2019 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux) on a NanoPI M4 and I'm trying to enable HDCP on the HDMI output.

I can't figure out how to do this (or if it is even possible).

 

dmesg shows that the driver/hardware knows about HDCP to some extent

There is a sysfs node for content_protection created, but it doesn't return any values

Writing to it with the values that look like they should work (by inspecting drivers/gpu/drm/drm_crtc.c and drivers/gpu/drm/drm_sysfs.c) just returns Invalid Value:

(I've also tried echo -n, and various capitalisations of: Undesired, Desired, Enabled. All of which have the same result).

Am I missing something here?

Is it possible to enable HDCP on the HDMI output?
