Most of the boards just got one freshly build test image - check bottom of download pages.

- minimal image only

- mainly kernel 5.6.y

- Ubuntu Focal 20.04 based

- u-boot 2020.04

- xz compressed

- no end-user support

One noticeable difference is background and menu across both screens, but 20.04 is missing a lot of dependencies like libwebkit-dev which I have not been able to find a substitute.

We will need few months to get it to the functional level. I already stuck on Chromium since we want to retain snap free version ... and subsituted from Debian repo - doesn't work. But good point is - I was playing today with Gnome3 desktop on Orangepi Prime and it was working quite decent. :P

Where did you get that strange wallpaper

I just tried this on my Cubietruck. uBoot doesn't like the initrd image:

Verifying Checksum ... Bad Data CRC

Disk image is corrupt or invalid

Then it tries to load from TFTP.

The image sha256sum verified OK and the card mounts on my PC OK.

I tried Focal: https://dl.armbian.com/cubietruck/nightly/Armbian_20.05.0-trunk.145_Cubietruck_focal_current_5.4.42.img.xz

I'll have a go with Bullseye.

Update: Bullseye 145 boots but it doesn't resize the filesytem. I went through armbian-config and everything else seems OK. Need more space to try out a desktop though.

Good that you tried but there is no support for it. Wait for stable builds.

Fix it on your own or use stable builds.
