It is no longer possible to add tags, either custom or pre-defined, to topics in all Bug Tracker forums and TV boxes. Existing tags are kept.

Prefixes have been adjusted and fixed in those forums to fit actual needs and reduce uncontrolled growth.

It is no longer possible to add tags, either custom or pre-defined, to topics in General Chit Chat and Feature Requests (already existing tags are kept). Latter received the option to add a "solved" prefix for fulfilled feature requests. Btw. if you want to see more "solved" prefixes  consider getting involved .

Announcements forums tags have been replaced with proper prefixes (the first page at least, older topics most likely nobody reads anyways :P)

We added acronyms to the forums. Commonly used abbreviation like SoC are now marked and their meaning can be highlighted by simply moving the cursor over it.

If you do have ideas for missing acronyms feel free to comment here:

Sub-Forums for Reviews, Tutorials and Hardware hacks have been merged into a new common forum which can be found here: https://forum.armbian.com/forum/40-reviews-tutorials-hardware-hacks/

Topics still can be divided by their prefixes. Some topics have been manually reviewed and processed as needed.

It is no longer possible to add tags, either custom or pre-defined, to topics in Common issues / peer to peer technical support. Topics can optionally be marked with a solved prefix if capable.

Links to external pages which do not belong to armbian (github is an exception) are now marked with a small symbol at their end. Example: link to google

Exclusive dark theme has been adjusted from fixed to fluid width.

Also removed post count, reputation and other unneeded noise from the topic view.

Since it is Helloween the exclusive dark theme mentioned here will be available for everyone until November 1st. Simply select it via theme selector at the bottom of the website. Happy dark surfing

H616 has been added to Bug Tracker forums for existing sunxi64 family.

Take note that this SoC is still kind a semi-supported:

Quote
  • Legacy kernel based images are using improved and updated stock kernel. If you care that things works (wireless, Bluetooth, CPU frequency scaling, power off, reboot, …) but it uses proprietary boot loader and it comes without our support, use it.
  • Mainline kernel has experimental support only

As you may have probably noticed we have shifted a few forums around.

I know it looks a bit incomplete and inconsistent for now but we are unfortunately stuck due to a bug in 3rd party software and need to wait for fixing until we can continue.

Stay tuned

We could continue moving things around :)

The bug tracker forums you knew for a long time now have been retired and are now both collapsed to reduce space and read-only for archiving purpose. They still can be searched and you can download attachments.

Since you would not be able to answer to an existing topic anymore please create a fresh one in the appropriate section and leave a link to the old in your posting.

These forums have been replaced by new, per board and support status divided sections.

Boards that have active support status (standard support and up) have their own sub-forums within their respective SoC family. Also each topic needs to get a proper tag in order to make it easier to find them later on via search function which will more and more rely on these tags.

Having both a tag and a forum name on a support board topic seem to be a bit doubly but I will explain below why this is necessary ;)

Boards with status CSC and below have their separate section but without dedicated forums but family categorized.

It is still easy to find topics to a specific board here since, as mentioned above, all topics need to have a proper tag.

Also when the support status of a board changes (like an older one gets EOL) the contents of its own forum will be moved to their respective unsupported family forums but are still easily searchable via tags.

Aight I hope this wasn't too confusing, still kind a early sunday here at my place😁

Anyway if you have questions feel free to state them in off-topic or drop me a messages.

The Kobol club (featuring support forums for Helios4 and Helios64 boards) have been closed and their topics have been moved to the appropriate sections.

PS: A new forums theme is also in the works. Stay tuned ;)

To prevent abusive behavior by editing older postings this is no longer possible after a certain period of time.

Exception is granted for contributors, maintainers and frequently active members of the community.

A new theme has been set as default. It is simply called Armbian.

It replaces the outdated Haze theme which has not been maintained for years  now. Hopefully this one will do longer :)

Also a Discord widget box has been added to the sidebar on the right.

A fixed width version of the new forums theme has been added. It can be enabled by everybody who does not enjoy having the forums stretched to browser edges.
