armbian upgrade from buster to bullseye
I just installed armbian buster on my NAS (odroid HC2). Everything works perfectly.
However, as debian bullseye has become stable and I expect this to happen for armbian also in the near future, I am thinking about how to do the upgrade. This is mainly because all my other boxes run bullseye and administration becomes a lot easier if all systems run the same version. In addition, I will have to do the update anyways at some point in time and therefor I want do it when armbian bullsey
I did the upgrade from Buster to Bullseye.
As far as steps:
- Backup
- apt update & full-upgrade
- Disable /etc/apt/sources.list.d/armbian.list all entries to stop armbian from upgrading
- Use normal debian upgrade steps -> Change release in /etc/apt/sources.list
- apt update & full-upgrade
- Restart, validate working system
- Update /etc/apt/sources.list.d/armbian.list with new release (buster->bullseye)
- apt update & full
