Welcome to ARMBIAN Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 3.4.112-sun8i
System load:   0.52             Up time:       1 min
Memory usage:  14 % of 2013Mb
CPU temp:      59°C
Usage of /:    19% of 15G

then installed lightdm and running the xfce4 desktop with HDMI monitor of 1920x1080 I can't set resolution more than 1280, but the big problem is that video isn't fluid, i.e. if you move mouse, you can't see the arrow moving, and if you open firefox get the same behaviour, it's like a set of snapshot, not a fluid motion.

Can this be fixed or am I the only one that is experiencing this?

Would you suggest this setup for a web kiosk or are there better options?

Thansk, BR

Higher resolutions are not in the current kernel since they were added recently. In the next build or if you DIY ... you need to use h3disp utility to change screen resolution.

Desktop operations are not super fast but they are decent. There is not any acceleration within Firefox browser. Can you record a video of this sluggish behaviour?

BTW: if hope you don't use some old and slow SD card for this? Then we don't need a video ...
