Hey,

i bought somewhere on the end of internet some board with AllWinner A10 - ARM Cortex A8 processor. Board was cheap (15$) and had info about compatibility with Armbian. Sound good deal for tests. BUT of course cant be so easy :) It was true, Armbian working but only version 5.24 Jessie for Lime-A10 from previous age. All newest version booting well but without working usb ports. What i figured out its a problem with device tree configuration but Armbian based on Jessie working with fex files, all newest distributions unfortunately with dts files responsible for device tree config and i dont know how to set up device tree in newer versions. After few days fighting i said enough but on the end of fight i found on github some old project for converting fex files to dts files. Unfortunately again i'm noob and i don't know how to use it even with some instructions on github project page. So my question at the end: can somebody know how to do it? :) Here is link do github:

Eventually you figure this out, get it working, then you get curious about other devices, some time after that become contributor, women swoon and small children look up to you with admiration.  :D

Until then, good luck, you are going to need it!

Actually, jokes aside, sounds not so insurmountable based on what you describe.  Sorry if I can't help with any more than cheerleading.  :)
