Image needed - Banana Pi BPI-m4 2 Gb (64bit)

Hi

Scrolling through the forum I realized how old this SBC is that I purchased but I had no choice since basically all other options are out of stock in my country with lead-times past this year...

I am looking for someone that can assist me.  I replaced a failed Raspberry Pi 4 with this Banana Pi bpi-m4 board thinking that it would perform and work as a like-for-like replacement.  Unfortunately, it is not the case but I am stuck with it.  Is there anyone that can assist me to build a 64bit Armbian image?  I enjoy Armbian on an Odroid XU4 but the generic and existing Banana Pi images does not work on the bpi-m4.  Sadly my software engineering skills is not even close to being useful to anyone anymore and I don't really know what I am doing.  I am happy to follow instructions if someone can take me through the build process step by step but I also realize that it is perhaps a tall order for someone to document it as well.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

In order to have random hardware supported, you will need to invest quite a lot ... its not simple and its not one time job. And certainly not for one person. To not go too deep over and over again, check:

We probably can help you, but you will need to cover our bills. As a professional service. If this is not the case, dig into the code, read documentation, search forums ... don't be a burden to maintainers. They don't need more work on their expense.

Instructions are again something we can't provide for free, hints are:

I am afraid this level is not an Armbian level problem anyway. This is chip / vendor problem and expense and we have no interest to deal with more hardware.

What you want to achieve is complicated also for people with hardcore engineering skills and years to decades of experiences. If you want to participate and be useful to the project, check roles that fit your skills or where you want to invest time to learn.
