Anyone know if this is possible?

I've tried this: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=138730&start=25, but when I go to start hostapd, get this:

nl80211: Could not re-add multicast membership for vendor events: -2 (No such file or directory)
Could not set channel for kernel driver
Interface initialization failed
uap0: interface state UNINITIALIZED->DISABLED
uap0: AP-DISABLED
uap0: Unable to setup interface.
uap0: interface state DISABLED->DISABLED
uap0: AP-DISABLED
hostapd_free_hapd_data: Interface uap0 wasn't started
nl80211: deinit ifname=uap0 disabled_11b_rates=0

I don't think even with WRT it will not do both modes, I don't think the hardware / firmware will allow it

AP mode works (with OpenWRT and with Armbian since if OpenWRT uses Armbian's legacy kernel and firmware then functionality is the same): https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=pt&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.zonamaker.com.br%2Ftransformando-orange-pi-zero-em-um-roteador-wi-fi%2F

It's just not worth the efforts since performance sucks (even if OpenWRT users seem not be able to either take notice or measure) and the manufacturer of this chip is not able to provide any technical documentation. So from our point of view this device has no Wi-Fi capabilities and we won't further waste time on this.
