I hope you're not asking how to troubleshoot Android issues.

Hi,

I do not know if this is an Android issue or something else. I just want to know if there is someone here who knows how to change mac adress on a R69 tv-box because my boxes has the same and wrong mac adress. I need to change it permanently to their right mac adress and do not know how or if it is possible? I bought them like this from the net and I can not understand how they can have the same mac adress.

OK, I compiled new image for Sunvell R69

Armbian_20.05.0-trunk_Sunvell-r69_buster_current_5.4.33_minimal

- Installation/flashing to internal emmc via armbian-config works fine

- 2 x USB works
- Analog audio device is detected but I can't get any sound, maybe my unit is broken or I'm doing something wrong (feedback needed)

- Working IR, WiFi and ethernet
- Default password (root/1234)

@Ernest Kusa Thanks for compiling ;) Did you use some special options in the armbian-build-system or just stadard?

Analog-Audio and HDMI sound is working on my Sunvell R69 with red pcb (1GB Ram).
Analog-Audio is only set to a very low volume.

Do a
apt install alsa-utils mpg123
and use
alsamixer
to set Line-Out and DAC to a value around 75 (upper limit of the white range)

I could play internetradio just fine ;)

Analog-Audio:
mpg123 -v -b 1024 -a hw:0,0 -@ ./MP3_FFH80s

HDMI:
mpg123 -v -b 1024 -a hw:1,0 -@ ./MP3_FFH80s

@Ernest Kusa seeing your compile did work so well I was a little bit more "brave" and compiled the dev version
Armbian bullseye with Linux 5.6.5-sunxi ;)  (non-minimal = console only image)

Also here no more problems - on my site - with ethernet going down/up.

Audio is working like on your current compiled image :)

I didnt check emmc, because I want to have there the android inside.

Welcome to Armbian bullseye with Linux 5.6.5-sunxi

No end-user support: built from trunk & unsupported (bullseye) userspace!

Thanks for the advice. The sound works but very quietly. I set up the changes in alsamixer and save them but it is still barely audible. Despite this I am happy because system is stable (Im using this box as octoprint server)

Cheep USB sound card works fine tho

Hi, I have a similar MXQ 4K like yours. But I couldn't boot up using the image. How did you boot to Armbian via USB or MMC?

I got a blank screen (black) if I press the reset button to load armbian from USB or MMC Card

hi

I boot from MMC card without any problem.

I mean what is your step by step?

I did everything, but I always ended up with blank screen (Black screen).
Here's what I did:

1. Download the Compiled image by @Ernest Kusa

2. Burn to MMC Card via Etcher

3. Plug MMC Card to MXQ Pro 4K Allwinner H3 Slot

4. Plug MXQ Pro 4K Allwinner H3 to the power cord

5. Press and hold the reset button

6. Blank Screen, but the LED is blue, not red

However, If I release the MMC Card and restart (un-plug then re-plug the power cord), the box immediately boot into android.

Is there anything that I missed in the process for this box?

I can't make the system boot directly to armbian, I need to start Android -> insert the uSD card with armbian > go to a Terminal previously installed on Android > switch to root user (my device is factory rooted) > reboot

Hi @manuti

How did you do that? I mean what kind of tool and command that you used to force next boot using uSD card from android? many thanks

to @rna

I repeated all the previous steps for myself.

I am working in WinXP.

1. Recorded 2 MMC cards via Win32 disk imager and Rufus-usb-2-12.

2. I inserted the card into the slot of the TV box and applied power without touching RESET.

Both cards took turns loading Armbian without any problems.

Maybe you still have a different board?

For example eMMC but not NAND like mine?

Hi @rna I try different microSD card vendors and finally found that someone can boot directly and others can't. If you can, try different microSD models. Finally after confirm everything is working I decided to install armbian to internal eMMC memory.

@Kusa, thanx a lot for your image. My previous one was 3 year and half old! All that time running 7/7 24/24  PiHole, Domoticz and some script managing Amazon Dash Buttons. IMHO a decent use case for a (16€) useless tv box (according to TK :)). Everything fine (eemc boot) , and reboot do not need anymore to unplug!

By the way, with my previous image (eemc installed), it was impossible to boot from *any* SD Armbian image. But... I could boot with H3Droid image, install H3Droid on eemc, then I could boot with an Armbian SD.
