Debian Stretch, Compile problem

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Sorry if this is kind of wrong posting, but I had an failure on compiling first for the Banana Pi for the Debian Stretch, complette image but without any other changes. Just wanted to compile a complete image for the Banana Pi, but got an error that terminated the compilation. After that I made a new image with the Ubuntu version with any problems. Thought that it might have something to do with the old hardware so I tried to compile another one for the Asus Tinker board for the Debian Stretch, but that gave me similar problems with termination of the compilation.

Here is the some few lines of the output

chip_5.34_all.deb".

Is it only me who got this?  Are there something I have to do to make an complete compiling?

Sorry for this kind newbie question.

I just run the ./compile.sh script for about an hour ago on the first attempt, then compiled succesfully the ubuntu version for the banana pi. Did this without any changes, just the full compile for a test run. Then after that a new compiling attempt for the asus tinker board,  complete compile for the debian stretch but with the same failure. I do another attempt and see if I get some different result.

Well, I don't know why, but I get the same trouble this time too.

This is strange! Tried to compile the Jessie Next for the console but there seems to bee problems to fetch the files?

I test from scratch. Ubuntu Xenial inside VirtualBox. Everything works just fine ... It must be something with your host machine or your network configuration. Can you start from scratch?

I have no problem to compile the Ubuntu Xenial 16.04 console version which I have made for all my arm computers. I also use the recommended VirtualBox setup after the instructions here at the forum.

Tried to do another compile for banana pi, for jessie but there happens something i stage 2 that end with some errors and terminated process.

I can see that something is wrong with host setup, apt-cacher, network ... which are script dependencies and so far we didn't notice any troubles. Check apt-cacher documentation or (faster) start from clean Xenial.
