can't boot own build next kernel and ubuntu xenial/debian 9 on odroid c2

I build 

ubuntu xenial with next kernel (4.13.....) 

and image don't boot

Any idea where is problem??

all fine with dev kernels

I would like to test 4.13 kernel with mali drivers from  https://github.com/superna9999/meson_gx_mali_450/tree/DX910-SW-99002-r7p0-00rel1_meson_gx

4.14 don't load mali drivers so I want to try 4.13

 

I need kernel headers to build mali drivers

Can you help me somehow?

Last working "armbian" version that can build 4.13 version that can run on odroid c2

Those are early experimental builds and we didn't get any further. Last week I tried to attach C2 to 4.14 but the board constantly crashed during boot, USB is sometimes up sometimes not ... there are many troubles to solve first before dealing with MALI. 

 

I gave up for now.

@Igor I'm seeing the same behaviour from the NanoPi K2 (same reference design).  Not being 1st priority I haven't dug in too deeply.

 

I applied the ATF patch similar to the meson-GXL (Le Potato) and that fixed it on the K2.
