noam3p0 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 i recently purchased an orange pi 5 plus 16gb with the wifi / bt card, the aluminum wifi case, fan and 1tb ssd. when i go to the official website i see different images there none of which seem to work 100%. i mean i was able to get each up and running but what i noticed is that the graphical drivers would not load. i saw a youtube video claiming armbian has the right driver support for the mali 610 gpu. can someone assist me getting this to work? im big into emulation gaming and right now it doesnt even have Vulkan support i crave. someone help thanks 0 Quote

Claude help me. So most of software for opi 5 plus on rockchip repository. I ask Claude help me to debug, fix them and compile them. libdrm-rockchip, librga, mpp, and so on. When I bought mine 2 years ago, I ran it for a day or so as a desktop just to play with it and with the vendor kernel the audio/video seemed to work fine (was using Ubuntu 24.04 at the time). I didn't fiddle with vulkan support, but they claim it supports vulkan 1.2. So there shouldn't be a problem. I've never experimented with gaming on Linux so I don't have any specific help there. Try using the armbian imager with ubuntu + the 6.18.X kernel and see if that works for you. It's been great for me, but I'm not really doing anything like what you're trying to do (mine is a media server). https://armbian.com/boards/orangepi5-plus I'd try the Ubuntu 26.04 desktop variant with the 6.18.44 kernel first and see how that works.
