Hi Guys,

and here are som pictures:

https://forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-support/allwinner-tv-players/679476-beelink-gs1-6k-tv-box-allwinner-h6-android-7-1-bt4-1-1000m-lan-usb-3-0-media-player-2gb-ram-16gb-rom

from the pictures i cannot tell were the uart pins are, anyone can ?

from user froezus post

Hi,

I have tried to boot the OrangePi One Plus image on my Beelink GS1, but either the UART is bad configured or I have damaged the TXD pin :'(.

I can't stop the U-boot nor enter a login.

bootlog : https://pastebin.com/Rd2EEduZ

I try to get some information from the

sys_config.fex (from gs1_rv106N0.img): https://pastebin.com/TdnfRMJL

reverse dts: https://pastebin.com/jK2zhGAe

Everything seems correct so maybe I have damaged the TXD pin.

Do you think there is lot of work to make ethernet/ssh works one my board ?

Thanks,

Clement

he found a way to get uart output but no anwser yet were this uart pins are, it looks like we already have some device treefiels her and a bootlog.

anyone can help, i am here for test

many thanks

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, didn't see this post and I was quite busy with my other boards.

There has been many improvement on the upstream for the H6 and Cedrus is comming in 5.2. I will give it another try soon.

For the UART you can spot it quite easily on the corner of the board.

Regards,

Clement

In Android u-boot, some providers block the ability to stop startup.

It would be interesting to see the UART log when trying to run Armbian from SD card. I am interested in whether the u-boot from eMMC is interrupted and control is transferred to u-boot from SD card or not.

I reached the Linux console and can't input the login :'(.

I will try to make the ethernet/ssh work.

Monitor output (HDMI) not working ? Reaction to keystrokes (for example, the Capslock key changes the state of the indicator) on a conventional keyboard connected via USB is  (After starting Armbian and prompted to log) ? I see that runs u-boot assembled in Armbian from SD card. If you press and hold (do not release during u-boot) the space bar or enter key before turning on the power and after starting u-boot, is there a reaction ?

I will be able to retest this next week, but quite sure that the first time I plugged the UART, I made a mistake and didn't plug the cable correctly which may explain why the TxD is no more working.

Not a big deal Ethernet should work now, if you want to give a try I push a fresh untested version of buildroot here https://github.com/clementperon/buildroot/tree/beelink_gs1

Sadly Ethernet still doesn't works :(,  if someone wants to help: https://github.com/clementperon/linux/commits/beelink_gs1

What's seems to work right now: UART, USB2 and USB3 ports, IR, eMMC and SDCARD

hi, nice to see something happening for the Beelink GS1, since Beelink seems to have aboneded the device allready, development for the orangepi H6 is realy going forwared and is allready usable, is there a way i could assist here to get a mainline kernel runing on the gs1 ?

i tried the android 9.0 image from tanix t6, it boots fine on the beelink as well, but since te tanix t6 only has 10/100mb ethernet it is not usable at all on the gs1..

Hi,

i was able to build an Armbian image whit your provided dts files for the GS1, HDMI works but it stops booting after starting version 241 and scanning for btrfs mounts.

now compiling librelec....  it is not bbooting, burned the image to an sd card and insertted this card into the beelink gs1, just nothing... no console access, i did not open the box.

best regards
