	Hello armbian accomplices, I though I would share my little journey about getting this tablet rooted with magisk so that hopefully one day armbian could run on it.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Steps:
</p>

<p>
	1. on android become developer
</p>

<p>
	2. enable oem bootloader unlocking in developer options
</p>

<p>
	3. adb reboot bootloader
</p>

<p>
	4. fastboot oem unlock
</p>

<p>
	5. reboot, the system will be wiped clean
</p>

<p>
	6. install Magisk apk from github releases
</p>

<p>
	7. get Teclast T60 AI firmware from their site it contains Firmware.img
</p>

<p>
	8. ./sunxi-fw extract -n "wty:init_boot.fex" -o stock_init_boot.img Firmware.img
</p>

<p>
	9. transfer to device and patch with Magisk app
</p>

<p>
	10. adb reboot bootloader
</p>

<p>
	11. fastboot flash init_boot_a /path/to/magisk_patched_init_boot.img<br />
	12. fastboot flash init_boot_b /path/to/magisk_patched_init_boot.img
</p>

<p>
	13. fastboot reboot
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Now do people know about what needs to be done to get xfce with armbian booted on this apparatus?? I think I need better AI agent for this than Deepseek as it is a bit sloppy as usual, Gemini Pro 2.5+ or some Claude probably. I ended up battling with this for a few days.

	Newbie on Armbian.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have an<strong> Allwinner H313</strong> (confirmed) box that I want to to use as a basic Samba server.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	 CPU:Allwinner H313Quad Core ARM Cortex A53 <br />
	 <abbr title="Graphic processing unit (3D acceleration)">GPU</abbr>:Mali-G31 OPenGL ES3.2<br />
	 Memory:2GB<br />
	 Flash:16GB<br />
	 OS:Android 10.0
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The actual firmware is a <strong>secure image</strong> and, no matter what procedure I do, I can't  load any other image but
</p>

<p>
	the secure one.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Debugging shows that 'fastbootd' has the "<strong>secure</strong>" flag set.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My intention is to <u>create a  basic secure arm64 Debian image</u> but I am having a hard time in doing so.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any ideas (specific Wiki, procedures) on how to create the secure image or "reset" the "secure" flag will be very appreciated.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance.

	Hello Everyone, I've seen a few threads on these boards but wanted to create a centralized source for information. <br />
	<br />
	It's my understanding there are multiple variants of these boards, the one I have and used is IK316Q-EMCP_V4.1

	Hello!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I noticed that x96q lpddr v1.3 is now an official (or something close to that) release, as it appears on the main page when searching. I used to use <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://forum.armbian.com/profile/211321-sicxnull/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="211321" href="https://forum.armbian.com/profile/211321-sicxnull/" rel="">@sicxnull</a> fork but now I have the impression that his changes were incorporated and he is the official maintainer of this device. I installed the Armbian 26.02 in an SD card and tested it in my X96Q lpddr v1.3 device and it works great!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The problem is when I installed it to the internal <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>, it will not boot anymore. I have the serial cable attached and I can see that very very early in the boot process u-boot cannot read from flash and the boot hangs.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I know this has been discussed to some extent in <a href="https://forum.armbian.com/topic/43682-armbian-for-h313-x96-q-lpddr3-tv-box/" rel="">another thread</a> but I wanted to start fresh on this one since now we're talking about the Armbian official release and not the fork anymore. My intent with this thread is focus exclusively on fixing <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr> on the official release.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My tests:
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong><span style="font-size:24px;">Test 1</span></strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Download latest release, from <a href="https://armbian.com/boards?vendor=allwinner&amp;support=tvb" rel="external nofollow">here</a>, more specifically <a href="https://armbian.com/boards/x96q" rel="external nofollow">this one</a>. Direct link to the image <a href="https://dl.armbian.com/x96q/Resolute_current_xfce" rel="external nofollow">here</a> (name: Armbian_community_26.2.0-trunk.858_X96q_resolute_current_6.18.27_xfce_desktop.img.xz). Write to SD card using balena etcher, boot in my x96q device. It works well, boots through the initialization process, create user account, etc. The, run armbian-install and install it to internal <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>. Remove SD card. Reboot. It will not boot, with the following error:
</p>

<p>

</p>

<pre class="ipsCode">Trying to boot from MMC2
MMC Device 1 not found
spl: could not find mmc device 1. error: -19
SPL: failed to boot from all boot devices
### ERROR ### Please RESET the board ###</pre>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Booting from SD card again, re-running the installer and forcing to update the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr> bootloader does not help.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong><span style="font-size:24px;">Test 2</span></strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I swapped only u-boot for the one from miniarch/minimyth2 project, compiled for the same hardware.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Miniarch project can be found <a href="https://github.com/warpme/miniarch" rel="external nofollow">here</a>. An image that works on this hardware (in my specific device) can be found <a href="https://github.com/warpme/miniarch/releases" rel="external nofollow">here</a>, more specifically <a href="https://github.com/warpme/miniarch/releases/download/c9af88384db/MiniArch-15.1.1-14.04.2026-7.0.4-board-h313.x96_q_lpddr3_v1.3-SD-Image.img.xz" rel="external nofollow">this one</a>. This image works well, and it also works well when installed to <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>. The reason I don't use it is that I prefer Ubuntu over Arch, which I can get with Armbian instead.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Download that image, and extract the file <strong>u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin</strong> from the first partition of that image. I used <strong>unxz + losetup + loopback mount the image's first partition</strong> in linux, but it may be easier for you to just write that image to an SD card, then copy the file from it. It is in the first partition in the path /bootloader/u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin. Copy it to a usb stick and plug it into the x96q device or scp it directly.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Now, boot the x96q with the SD card, go through all initial setup. Run armbian-install, and install it to <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>. Finish the installer (quit).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Copy the file you extracted from miniarch to the booted system in x96q (using the usb stick or scp'ing it directly). Overwrite the file with the same name at /usr/lib/linux-u-boot-current-x96q/u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin with the new one.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Run the armbian-install command again, this time chose to update the bootloader in the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Mount the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr> temporarily at /mnt and edit the /mnt/boot/armbianEnv.txt file, add this line:
</p>

<p>

</p>

<pre class="ipsCode">fdtfile=allwinner/sun50i-h313-x96q-lpddr3.dtb</pre>

<p>
	<br />
	This is because the hardcoded path for the DTD file in miniarch is different from the one from armbian, so you need to override it. It can also be done in realtime on the u-boot boot prompt if you have serial cable attached.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Reboot, remove the SD card and let it boot from the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>. It should work, now you have a working Armbian on the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This will get undone if the bootloader is updated again with the original one (and is not meant as a permanent fix).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong><span style="font-size:24px;">Thoughts</span></strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Miniarch uses 2025.04 u-boot while Armbian x96q board is using 2024.01 but I'm not sure this is really relevant. My guess is that the difference is in some of the patches they apply and not in the improvements of this new version of u-boot itself. But I could be wrong.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	You can find the list of patches that miniarch applies over to stock u-boot <a href="https://github.com/warpme/minimyth2/tree/master/script/bootloaders/u-boot-aw/files" rel="external nofollow">here</a>. Many of those patches do not exist in Armbian. I wonder if it is any of those that is making the difference.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Question to <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://forum.armbian.com/profile/211321-sicxnull/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="211321" href="https://forum.armbian.com/profile/211321-sicxnull/" rel="">@sicxnull</a>: do you have a good idea of what is going on and have any direction for further testing? I wanted to ask before I start applying the extra patches one by one, that would take quite some time.
</p>

	I have one of those projectors, and I came to think about perhaps it could be possible to put Armbian on it.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Mostly just for fun. I really doubt it would be an improvement to have Linux on a projector, with most likely missing hardware decoding of codecs and other things, rather than having the original Android.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	However, I haven't really found any information about the H713 chip in any of the different forums with Linux on Arm.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Have any of you any information or think that it would be a fun project? If so, please respond.

	Hi all, i've been going this forum long enough to try and root a tv box that i buyed recently, but this one is HEAVILY locked up, like nothing i have seen before.<br />
	My objective here is to access 'su' so i can have access to rooting/overclocking this thing for emulators, and after that adding a heatsink, active cooling, etc.<br />
	<br />
	I tried ADB over all USBs (4 in total) but nothing. then i tried to see if root was available through some leftover app or vulnerability, but nothing.<br />
	Then i tried following the specs from <a href="https://forum.armbian.com/topic/54412-mxq-pro-4k-5g-allwinner-h313-cant-sd-card-boot/page/3/" rel="">this</a> thread (pretty similar in design to my PCB) but my UART displays nothing. (I leave the images from my setup below), i tried switching the wires, i tested the voltages and they return 3.3v, so they are ok.<br />
	I tried the toothpick method to access recovery, but it has 2 buttons. 1 does nothing (AFAIK) and the other one goes directly to updating, so no menu.<br />
	<br />
	Any help is appreciated, as i'm out of any ideas.

	I leave my pictures below, and my specs:<br />

	I’m really happy to share that I finally managed to port the SV6256P (SSV6X5X) SDIO Wi-Fi driver from the legacy Linux 4.4 kernel to modern kernels.
</p>

<p>
	This repository contains my working port for Linux kernel 6.12 and newer, with updated mac80211/cfg80211 integration so the driver can build and run on recent Armbian systems.
</p>

<p>
	The chipset is commonly used in many low-cost TV boxes and embedded devices, but the original driver only supported legacy kernels (4.4).
</p>

<p>
	Now it’s functional again on modern systems, at least on my tested hardware (Allwinner H616 / X96 Q via SDIO).

	i have an android tv box.

<p>
	model name: tx 10 pro.
</p>

<p>
	i want to install ARMbian on it. there is a reset button under the av port.
</p>

<p>
	it has 2 gb of ram and 4 gb of rom (though the internet says 8G ram and 128G rom, also the android ui too).
</p>

<p>
	i have enabled both usb debugging and oem unlocking from the android developer option menu.
</p>

<p>
	the tv box can go to recovery mode using adb command. until going to the recovery mode, the adb connects perfectly but whenever it goes into recovery mode, the adb cant connect to the tv box.
</p>

<p>
	it consists option for fastboot inside the recovery mode but whenever i try to apply any command (e.g. fastboot/adb) the tv box doesnt show up among the devices when the device is in recovery mode.
</p>

<p>
	As there is no zip file for direct linux installation that i can use with flash from usb option.
</p>

<p>
	and the reset button beneath the av port does nothing, ive tried to flash multiple ARMbian Img files using both rufus and etcher but the screen just goes black whenever i press and hold the reset button beneath the av port. there is no option to install twrp as neither adb nor fastboot can connect whenever the device is in recovery mode. what to do?

	Hey everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I’ve cross-flashed a MXQ 4K 5G (Allwinner sun8iw7p1 / H3) firmware onto a different H3-based TV box. Everything works surprisingly well, except for the IR Power-On/Wakeup.
</p>

<p>
	Since the hardware is different, my box's IR receiver is sending a scancode that the MXQ firmware doesn't recognize as the "Wakeup" key.
</p>

<p>
	Because this is an Allwinner (sunxi) build and not Rockchip, I know I can't just edit a remote.conf file in the system partition to fix the cold-boot power button.
</p>

<p>
	My questions:
</p>

<p>
	Where exactly is the Hardcoded IR Wakeup/Power-on scancode stored in these Phoenix-style Allwinner images?
</p>

<p>
	Is it buried in the Device Tree Blob (<abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr>) under a specific IR controller node, or is it hardcoded in the U-Boot/SPL?
</p>

<p>
	If I unpack the boot.img or kernel, what hex patterns should I search for to find the Power-key scancode table?
</p>

<p>
	If anyone has experience patching the primary boot scancode for sun8i chips, I’d love some guidance on which partition/file to hex-edit.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	Basically it has 1 gb ROM 8gb ram h3 chip and I HAVE put many img files on SD card NONE of them boot and as soon as I take the SD card out it boots into android perfectly fine... I'm lost on words and what to do I have also tried FEL mode on linux but the request times out with error -7 power supply is 5v 2a which is fine for this so not that and I'm using a 256gb a1 rated SD card. This is from a generic Chinese tv box called meecom and it has ADX-H-V1.0 written on it. I also changed the <abbr title="Device tree blob"><abbr title="Device tree blob">dtb</abbr></abbr> files a lot but it still gave no display or sign that it was booted into armbian idk what to do help ( btw I repasted it that's why it has no thermal putty on it)

	Hey everyone!
</p>

<p>
	I have a TV Box labeled “In Xplus”, running on an Allwinner H313 (most likely a generic/rebranded device).
</p>

<p>
	I was able to install Linux on it using Armbian 26.2.0-trunk (Trixie). The system boots normally, but I’m facing network issues:
</p>

<p>
	- Wi-Fi is not working (no interface detected)<br />
	- Ethernet is also not working (only interface is lo)
</p>

<p>
	So basically, the system runs fine, but I have no network connectivity at all.
</p>

<p>
	My questions:<br />
	- Is this a current limitation of Armbian support for the H313?<br />
	- Is there any specific <abbr title="Device tree blob"><abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr></abbr> or patch that could fix Wi-Fi/Ethernet?<br />
	- Is there a more stable Armbian version or another distro with better support?<br />
	- Has anyone managed to get networking working on this chip?
</p>

<p>
	Any help or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	Hello community,
</p>

<p>
	I am looking for help to boot Armbian on a generic TV Box sold as "MXQ Pro 4K 5G". I have tried multiple images (including official and community builds from sicXnull), but I only get a black screen or signal loss immediately after the boot attempt.
</p>

<p>
	Device Specifications:
</p>

<p>
	Model on case: MXQ Pro 4K 5G
</p>

<p>
	Board ID: IK316Q-EMCP_V4.1
</p>

<p>
	<abbr title="System On a Chip"><abbr title="System On a Chip">SoC</abbr></abbr>: Allwinner H313 (identified as sun50iw9p1 in Android)
</p>

<p>
	RAM: 1GB (Single chip configuration)
</p>

<p>
	Storage: 8GB <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Current Status: I am able to boot into the stock Android. To attempt the Armbian boot, I am using the reboot update command from a terminal emulator within Android.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The issue: Upon executing the reboot command, the Android system shuts down, the display signal cuts off (or stays black), and the device never initializes Armbian (no HDMI output, no LEDs blinking differently).
</p>

<p>
	What I have tried:
</p>

<p>
	Builds from sicXnull repository (Kernel 6.x).
</p>

<p>
	<abbr title="A fork of Armbian that uses Armbian's name without permission."><abbr title="A fork of Armbian that uses Armbian's name without permission.">Ophub</abbr></abbr> community builds (H616/H313 variants).
</p>

<p>
	I have updated the extlinux.conf / uEnv.txt to point to the sun50i-h313-x96-q-lpddr3.<abbr title="Device tree blob"><abbr title="Device tree blob">dtb</abbr></abbr> (and others like x96-mate), but the result is always the same failure to initialize.
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone successfully booted this specific board revision (IK316Q_V4.1)? Is there a specific bootloader argument or a different <abbr title="Device tree blob"><abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr></abbr> required for this MXQ clone?
</p>

<p>
	Photos of the board are attached. Thanks!
</p>

	Hello, I tried maybe 100 roms and I couldn't find a rom for this. Can you help me? I am attaching the pictures.The rom is loaded to the device via type-c. My first attempts were via the USB slot, then I realized that it established a connection by pressing type-c and the small reset button.

<p>
	I'm trying to build a custom module to get the LCD working but I keep coming up against a Exec Format Error which implies a mismatch between the build version and the installed version. But I can't find the cause. I have been following the build instructions for <a href="https://github.com/jefflessard/tm16xx-display/" rel="external nofollow">tm16xx-display</a> which hasn't been a smooth process. I've had to remove some forward slashes in the Makefile so it would find the drivers/auxdisplay folder and the line-display.mod.c file it created had entries with multiple double quotes that caused errors. I had to change ""LINEDISP"" to "'LINEDISP'" before it would build. I should also mention I have previously tried OpenVFD and come up with the exact same issue so I don't think it's related to tm16xx.

<p>
	I have little experience with building things in Linux. Am I missing something simple?

<p>
	Is "PREEMPT" listed in all caps in uname -a an issue when the vermagic line is lower case?
</p>

<p>
	What about mod_unload?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any other ideas? I've been googling all day and got nowhere. Most results show different version between uname and vermagic which isn't the case here as far as I can tell. I guess I just need to know if it's possible to build custom modules with armbian images or if it's something that just doesn't work and I should forget about it.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks.

	Hello everyone, good day. I have a problem and I want to share it with you, maybe we can find a solution. I have a Next MyBox Android box, model H313, with 2GB of RAM (I don't know the LDDR3 type, but I think it's LDDR3). I want to install Armbian on this device via an SD card, but I have a problem: the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard"><abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr></abbr> flash memory was faulty and causing a short circuit. I removed and cleaned it, but now when I try to install Armbian like X96Q with the SD card, I can't see a display or an IP address on my router. There's no HDMI display either. If you have any information about this, could you please share it?

	Hello everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I’m trying to flash a firmware on a generic Android TV Box and I’m stuck at a hardware/bootloader compatibility issue.
</p>

<p>
	Device technical details:<br />
	- <abbr title="System On a Chip">SoC</abbr>: Allwinner H618<br />
	- Board / PCB: FX-H618-D4_V10<br />
	- RAM: 4GB DDR4<br />
	- Storage: <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr> (unknown size, likely 32GB)<br />
	- USB FEL ID: VID_1F3A PID_EFE8<br />
	- Original OS: BigdroidOS (Android generic)<br />
	- Commercial name: Transpeed 8K618-T
</p>

<p>
	Current situation:<br />
	- Device enters FEL mode correctly (VID_1F3A PID_EFE8)<br />
	- PhoenixSuit detects the device but firmware upgrade hangs at “Beginning Firmware Upgrade”<br />
	- Tried multiple PCs (Windows 10 and 11), different USB ports and cables<br />
	- Allwinner FEL driver installed correctly<br />
	- SD card flashing with PhoenixCard (Startup mode) is ignored, device boots normally to Android<br />
	- Reset timing variations tested (short press / long press / no reset)
</p>

<p>
	Tested firmware:<br />
	- sbx_transpeed_h618_atv_12_11.img<br />
	- H618.apollo-p3.T-H618_100M_12_FD650.2023.09.13.1720.img
</p>

<p>
	Both firmwares show similar behavior (FEL detected but no successful flash).
</p>

<p>
	I believe the issue is bootloader / DDR4 initialization mismatch.<br />
	I’m specifically looking for:<br />
	- A firmware confirmed to work with board FX-H618-D4_V10<br />
	- Or the original BigdroidOS firmware dump for this board<br />
	- Or confirmation whether this board requires a specific boot0/boot1
</p>

<p>
	Any help, working firmware, or dump from the same board would be greatly appreciated.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you!<br />

</p>

<p>

</p>

	Hi everyone, how's it going? I'm new to the forum and I'm having trouble getting my Chinese T95 mini TV box to run Linux. I want to switch it to a basic server, but I'm having problems booting it from the SD card. I'm using the sunxi-fel mode method in Linux. I tested Armbian_23.8.1_Orangepipc_jammy_current_6.1.47_minimal.img and others like Armbian_23.8.1_Orangepipc_jammy_current_6.1.47.img. I used the .bin file generated on this forum.<br />

</p>

<p>
	Boot it using the method `sudo sunxi-fel -v -p uboot u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin` in the terminal.
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	TV BOX Model: T95mini | R69 - EMCP V2.0 - H3 Allwinner.

<p>
	<br />
	The screenshots below show the screen freezing. I'm a total noob, guys, if you could please explain the procedures, indicate what needs to be done to make it work. Thanks in advance <img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://forum.armbian.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png" srcset="https://forum.armbian.com/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

	Oh and I almost forgot! The stock firmware! <a href="https://archive.org/details/x96q_h313_mmcblk0.img.7z" rel="external nofollow">https://archive.org/details/x96q_h313_mmcblk0.img.7z</a>

<p>
	Something about extracting "device trees" or something? Honestly I couldn't locate the copy of u-boot in there, but I'm probably doing something wrong there. I'm sure someone <strong>WAY </strong>smarter then me in this stuff could probably figure it out.

	Hi : My problem is this. After manually updating my TV BOX , the serial number X88PROB-H313-D4-V1.0 is printed on the motherboard. The WiFi number AW859A has stopped working. I've tried everything, including reinstalling the firmware using PhoenixCard or PhoenixSuite. I downloaded and updated the T95-H616-A27.img and T95-H616-A29.img files, as well as the X88-PRO-S-H616 file. The installation was successful, but the device only displays the HDMI boot screen. Is there a solution? I would like to restore my device to Android 10 or 12 firmware, if possible. Is there a way to restart it if it's corrupted?
</p>

	Hello!

<p>
	I have a T95MAX ver 3 board with H616 / AXP313 / 4Gb RAM.<br />
	I've compiled an Armbian from Nick repo (https://github.com/NickAlilovic/build), branch v20251014 for Transpeed-8k618 with a little defconfig patch for TOC0 and DCDC3 voltage = 1.5V (extracted from Android native image <abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr>).

	Image booting ok, but first UBoot stage found 4Gb and second stage found only 2Gb. Someone have any ideas for make 2nd stage and kernel detect full memory?

	Hi....I have an Allwinner H616 H96 Max Android Box
</p>

<p>
	Last Week, I found this box on a shelf and wanted to boot it but it was in a bootloop
</p>

<p>
	So I flashed the stock firmware H616Alwinner.img and it flashed but again wifi issue...Then I made a dumb decision and asked chatgpt and it said "T95 , TX6s all share the same <abbr title="System On a Chip">SoC</abbr> so flash One of their .img's" So I did
</p>

<p>
	It flashed but now no LED but stuck on T95 logo so I tried to flash the original H616Allwinner.img again..but now it says "Error - Download Boot 1 Failed" (Honestly I Don't know how it got Hard-Bricked But I think because of the T95 flash)
</p>

<p>
	Now I tried Sunxi-fel but Time out....Now it's totally Super-Bricked Then I tried flashing the T95 image again it successfully flashes but the same thing but stock image "Download boot 1 failed"
</p>

<p>
	Can Someone Help Me to unbrick this thing and maybe install Armbian on this? <span class="ipsEmoji">🥺</span>
</p>

<p>
	[P.S:- Even Phoenixcard wouldn't help...(When inserting SD card and normal boot or toothpick boot it does nothing ) No LED and normal boot just boots me into the failed T95]
</p>

	Hi there,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Forgive me but I am a novice in Armbian.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What I would like to do is install armbian on the T95Max box I have purchased.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have attached a pic of the Box and it's specs.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have tried to "upgrade" using the SD method but couldn't make that recognise the SD card even with the original firmware "T95max-H618-A9.img" that I sourced using Google.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have also tried to get the T95 Max recognised via the USB method but the box wasn't even recognised using that method either.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I used the "Universal_ADB_Driver_v6.0" drivers but that made no difference.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If I could get the correct method sorted and an upgradeable firmware for Ambian that would be a great help.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I can compile the firmware if needed but I am unsure of what Ambian image would be the best starting point.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any help would be gratefully received.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	TIA
</p>

	So there is some conflicting naming between the name of the unit and the name on the board revision code.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The name of the unit would suggest that it's a X96-Q clone,
</p>

<p>
	but the revision number suggests that it's a T95 mini. Like as seen in this video

	Hello,<br />
	I have an Android M98-Y6 HDMI stick that reportedly has an Allwiner H313 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. When I opened the case, I identified the emcp memory module KMQNW000SM-B316.<br />

</p>

<p>
	I don't have access to console mode. I can only access adb commands as root.The RAM type DDR3 seems LPDDR3 ( version ??)<br />
	<br />
	I've tried different Armbian images without success.<br />
	<br />
	Unfortunately, <u>Secure Boot is enabled</u>.<br />
	<br />
	I read this post  and test Armbian-20240716-unofficial_24.5.0-trunk_Transpeed-8k618-t_bookworm_edge_6.7.12_xfce_desktop_Secure_Boot.img.tar.xz from Nick, without success

	I would like to know if anyone has had the opportunity to try the new Tanix TX1. The dimensions are really small, only 58mm x 58mm x 25mm and it only has 1 USB port in addition to the HDMI port and the classic power jack.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I know there are no Armbian images for H313 <abbr title="System On a Chip">soc</abbr> yet, too bad. This small TV box could be interesting for creating small servers connected exclusively via WiFi.
</p>

<p>
	Button 1 is the flash button, while button 2 is used to enter recovery mode.
</p>

<p>
	I tried images for H313 miniarch and others for H616 but I can't boot in any way. I'm using a USB stick obviously without using a USB hub but only the USB stick and for now only Android starts.

<p>
	I have a T95 Super with H2+/H3 processor. I've been successful running Armbian in the past on it and even writing to <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr> but am looking for the most updated build I can to burn to the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr>.<br />
	I have H3droid running on it after a VERY long install process and many board reburns to fix it. <br />
	I noticed H3droid has an "Armbian" option in it's rescue menu but there don't seem to be any instructions on how to install with the menu/use it.<br />
	What is the best new build for this setup?<br />
	Thank you!

<p>
	Tried to run a progressive web app (PWA) and just learned that PWA is not supported by Android TV OS. I've found that since it's just a <abbr title="Single board computer">SBC</abbr>, I can install any other OS on it and stumbled upon Armbian.
</p>

<p>

<p>
	Since I'm new, I would like to know what images is supported with this board and any related guides to install it. This board has 1 full HDMI port, 1 USB type A port for data, and 1 USB type C port for power only (this is just my assumption). No SD card slot.

<p>
	I just need it to be able to run a modern and latest browser to run the PWA.

	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	Firstly sorry for the bad english(By Google Translator). I've been searching for a long time on how to use linux on my tv box, without success.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I searched here on the forum in several topics, I didn't find anything related to the tx6s, the closest I came was the Orange-Pi Zero 2, which uses the same processor.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In one of the topics, from 2020 if I'm not mistaken, a user warned that because it was the same processor or similar hardware, it wouldn't necessarily work.
</p>

<p>
	Even so I ventured out and tried in hopes of working, some versions of Armbian for OrangePi Z2 and other linux for ARM.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	With other ARM versions the tv box, booted normally on Android, with Armbian, it didn't even start and no led lit up.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What made me believe that somehow with Armbian, the tv box recognized the SD card as bootable, but for some problem it can't boot. Maybe it's the u-boot used. if some of the versions I tried to install:

	I had X96 Mate from long time, which is 4GB/32GB with H616 CPU, (It is almost same as Tanix TS6s)
</p>

<p>
	Tried many images from orange pi for same chip, none worked perfectly.
</p>

<p>
	Found out Sunix Linux community got support for H616, but they don't build full OS images,
</p>

<p>
	After hell of searching found a repo from <a href="https://github.com/warpme/miniarch" rel="external nofollow">https://github.com/warpme/miniarch</a>
</p>

<p>
	He hosts MiniArch SD card image which works on many devices,
</p>

<p>
	from same link got SD card image for Tanix tx6s  which also worked on x96_Mate (both got H616)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Here is the file I used - <a href="https://github.com/warpme/miniarch/releases/download/20230106-6.1.5-g78293cd3/MiniArch-20230106-6.1.5-board-h616.tanix_tx6s-SD-Image.img.xz" rel="external nofollow">https://github.com/warpme/miniarch/releases/download/20230106-6.1.5-g78293cd3/MiniArch-20230106-6.1.5-board-h616.tanix_tx6s-SD-Image.img.xz</a>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	1- Wrote img to SD card using Etcher
</p>

<p>
	2- Inserted SD card in Device
</p>

<p>
	3- Powered ON the device and it Booted from SD card
</p>

<p>
	4- followed update instructions on GitHub Repo.
</p>

<p>
	5- Rebooted after all updates,
</p>

<p>
	6- Basic Arch was ready to be used
</p>

<p>
	Here USB keyboard , LAN, HDMI worked normally.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	After reboot, logged in as root, and ran "start" command,
</p>

<p>
	Now here selected option 5, which is install <strong>EndeavourOS</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Process just ask you Yes/No questions, then you can select your DE, location etc. Automated script downloaded bunch of files and started its installation.
</p>

<p>
	Got the message that installation is done successfully and came back to terminal.
</p>

<p>
	Rebooted from terminal
</p>

<p>
	After this point got only blank screen , dont know it is still booting without HDMI or not
</p>

<p>
	So need to revert back to step -1 writing basic image to SD card.
</p>

<p>
	And this time sticking to terminal only.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	all this process is done on SD card only, and android on <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr> is safe .
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

	Hi everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I'm recently obtained a TV box from a local store (seems like they sell Amazon returns or something, but they just have a bunch of random stuff). After installing AIDA64, I learned that it's running an Allwinner H616 CPU and has 4GB of RAM. It is able to boot warpme's MiniArch build for the Tanix TX6S, and I extracted the <abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr> from the Android build on the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr>. My question is, where do I go from here? I'd like to build a custom Armbian image to support my device. When I try booting the Armbian image for the Orange Pi Zero 2, it gives an error over my serial monitor about a bad DRAM configuration which I expected since apparently these boxes have DRAM chips that are often laid out differently than the Orange Pi, and this can apparently be fixed with a U-boot configuration change. I was curious about how I can integrate these changes into my own build of Armbian so I could bring support to my device. Thanks in advance!

	Hi everyone,<br />
	<br />
	<br />
	I'm having trouble recovering my Android TV box T95 Max with the following specs:
</p>

<p>
	CPU: Allwinner H616
</p>

<p>
	RAM: 4GB
</p>

<p>
	ROM: 32GB
</p>

<p>
	Board: AXP313A V3.0
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	The box was freezing after boot, so I tried to reflash the firmware using PhoenixCard / suit.<br />

</p>

<p>
	What I’ve Tried So Far:
</p>

<p>
	Downloaded and flashed T95-H616-A27.img &amp; T95-H616-A29.img through FEL mode and Flashing completed successfully but the box only shows a black screen on both HDMI and the small front panel screen.
</p>

<p>
	Tried other firmware images labeled for T95 Max H616 AXP313A
</p>

<p>
	Tried re-burning the SD using different cards and readers
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I found a working Armbian img that worked from SD card:
</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://github.com/NickAlilovic/build/releases/download/v20240716/Armbian-20240716-unofficial_24.5.0-trunk_Transpeed-8k618-t_bookworm_edge_6.7.12_xfce_desktop_Secure_Boot.img.tar.xz" rel="external nofollow">https://github.com/NickAlilovic/build/releases/download/v20240716/Armbian-20240716-unofficial_24.5.0-trunk_Transpeed-8k618-t_bookworm_edge_6.7.12_xfce_desktop_Secure_Boot.img.tar.xz</a>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I want to restore the TV box to a working firmware (Android 10 or 12) if possible. And is there any method to revive bootloader if it's corrupted
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	Any working image file would be a huge help.<br />

	I have installed Armbian 23 Linux on my TX6 ATV box.
</p>

<p>
	I downloaded the image from the SMLinux repo.
</p>

<p>
	It was a kernel 6 build with Armbian 23 Jammy version.
</p>

<p>
	I added the Oibaf PPA for the graphics driver, then I installed Ubuntu Desktop.
</p>

<p>
	Luckily, I got graphics acceleration with the GNOME desktop, but it was laggy ui.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I confirmed graphics acceleration using the glxinfo command and also tried glxgears. It was working pretty smoothly, like 60 FPS, same as my monitor refresh rate.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Well, everything was great, but then when I tried to use Firefox and watch YouTube, it was so choppy and laggy.
</p>

<p>
	YouTube UI took 2 minutes to load.
</p>

<p>
	I thought I only had 131MB RAM available while using a heavy desktop like GNOME + browser, so I assumed it was the environment's fault. But then I installed XFCE and the experience was the same.
</p>

<p>
	It was still choppy and laggy, even with 1GB of RAM available this time.
</p>

<p>
	glxinfo and glxgears worked pretty fine, but the XFCE UI and Firefox animations were kind of glitchy.
</p>

<p>
	But the YouTube video itself was smooth — not the UI though.
</p>

<p>
	I managed to load a YouTube video using Firefox. There were frame drops like 83/300 so yea it wasn't fully smooth, but it was better than GNOME.
</p>

<p>
	So now my question is:
</p>

<p>
	Is this because I’m running it on an SD card?
</p>

<p>
	Or is there no full video acceleration?
</p>

<p>
	Is there any way for me to get full video acceleration? Because the <abbr title="driver for Mali Midgard and Bifrost GPUs">Panfrost</abbr> driver was working and loaded.

	 <br />
	Hi everyone,<br />
	I could really use some help with a project that's getting quite frustrating. I'm a beginner with Linux and embedded systems (actually just starting to learn programming now), and for the past two weeks or so, I've been trying to install a Linux distribution on an Allwinner TV Box, but haven't had any luck so far.<br />
	I managed to run neofetch (via Termux on the original Android system) and it reported the following hardware details:<br />
	 * Host: Allwinner TV BOX<br />
	 * CPU: sun8iw7 @ 1.008GHz (Apparently an Allwinner H3)<br />
	 * Kernel (Android): 4.4.55<br />
	 * Memory: ~4GB RAM (Detected as 4896MiB)<br />
	 * Architecture: armv7l (32-bit)<br />
	The Problem:<br />
	I managed to boot a specific Linux image from a USB drive / SD card (specifically, Armbian_20.05.0-trunk-sunvell-r69-buster-current_5.4.33_minimal.img, which uses Kernel 5.4.33), but the system doesn't recognize the TV Box's internal storage. The internal storage itself seems fine, as the original Android OS (Kernel 4.4.55) boots up normally when I remove the USB drive / SD card.<br />
	What I've Tried:<br />
	 * Image Used: Booting with the image mentioned above (Armbian_20.05.0-trunk-sunvell-r69-buster-current_5.4.33_minimal.img / Kernel 5.4.33).<br />
	 * Internal Memory Issue: The main blocker is that after booting Linux, the internal storage (<abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr>, I assume) isn't detected or mounted.<br />
	 * Other Methods: I also tried messing around with a USB-A connection for flashing, but didn't get anywhere and honestly, I wasn't really sure what I was doing.<br />
	 * <abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr> File: I attempted to replace the <abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr> (Device Tree Blob) file within the Armbian image, guessing it might be the cause of the hardware detection issue (especially the <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr>), but I did this without really knowing the procedure, and it didn't work.<br />
	 * Research &amp; AI: I've done a fair bit of research and used AI to try and guide me. It was helpful up to a point, but then the information became confusing and didn't solve the core problem.<br />
	My Question:<br />
	Given this seems to be an Allwinner H3 box running Android with Kernel 4.4.55, could anyone shed some light on this? Could the issue be the Linux Kernel version (5.4.33) being incompatible? Is it the specific Armbian image (Armbian_20.05.0-trunk-sunvell-r69...) or the wrong <abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr> for this board/<abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">eMMC</abbr> combination? Is there a more reliable method or a recommended image/<abbr title="Device tree blob">DTB</abbr> for generic Allwinner H3 TV Boxes?<br />
	I'm almost at my wit's end and was hesitant to ask for help, but I'd really like to get this working. Any tips, tutorials, or pointers you could provide would be greatly appreciated.<br />
	Thanks!
</p>

	But not the latest v6.6.75 cinnamon Mesa/<abbr title="Video processing unit (encoding/decoding)">VPU</abbr> image, when I boot with this image on an SD card, the machine ignores it and boot on the integrated <abbr title="embedded MultiMediaCard">emmc</abbr> OS.

	Apologies this isnt about Orange Pi Zero 2, but about a TV stick called <a href="https://linux-sunxi.org/Tronsmart_Draco_H3" rel="external nofollow">Tronsmart Draco H3</a> which I have and am trying to repurpose into a light weight server with armbian. It obviously isnt well known, but I have tried a few H3 based builds, all of them boot fine, but I cant seem to get Wifi running.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I tried Orange Pi PC and Orange Pi but they dont have Wifi at all I believe, so it didnt ask to setup wifi.
</p>

<p>
	I tried Orange Pi Zero 2+H3, but for some odd reason my keyboard didnt work on it, so I couldnt setup the users to be able to get further.
</p>

<p>
	I tried Nano Pi R1, but that didnt have HDMI, so my hdmi didnt work and I had no idea how to view the output at that point.
</p>

<p>
	I tried Orange Pi + as that had wifi as well, but the wifi wasnt able to be configured.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I then figured that I need to get a board with the same wifi chipset as mine, and settled on <a href="https://linux-sunxi.org/Sinovoip_Banana_Pi_M2%2B" rel="external nofollow">Banana Pi M2+</a> which matched on RAM, <abbr title="System On a Chip"><abbr title="System On a Chip">SOC</abbr></abbr> and Wifi chipset, but it still had the same problem as Orange Pi+ in that it asked to setup wifi, but then fails immediately with unable to configure.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any tips on how I can proceed? I understand that recovering esoteric TV boxes isnt looked on fondly here, but I am curious to see if I can make this work.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	p.s. Ethernet does work with this box and the banana pi m2 + build, but I would need an ethernet to USB dongle, and ofc the cable.
</p>

<p>
	This device boots from uSD with <em>Ubuntu desktop – legacy kernel</em> 5.30 for OrangePi One and <em>RetrOrangePi-3.0.1.Orangepione.img</em>. It didn't boot after initial setting and <em>reboot</em> command/automatic reboot (I don't know why yet, but it should boot and resize fs). It looks it somehow breaks filesystem on uSD card (and I don't have different uSD card to test it).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Ethernet works out of box.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Some guy in Facebook group RetrOrangePi confirmed RetrOrangePi for OrangePi One works.
