I have been able to install, and boot the OP+ with a 16GB USB storage. For it to boot though, I have to have a sdcard inserted (I'm guessing I could use something other then a card to trick the OP), before it fails to boot from sdcard, and then moves onto the next boot sequence (usb storage). I've tried writing armbian to multiple cards, using a pin to try to realign it, and other tips, and it just refuses to boot from microsd.
I've resolved the fact that I may need to just usb for the time being. Based on that information, is there ANY script out there that will write from usb to EMMC? The original nand script I removed the "if booting from usb halt install" code, and that still did not work to write directly from usb. If I could write the finalized armbian OS from the usb to emmc I think I could solve this issue. Any ideas?

After pulling my hair out, it looks as though the sd card slot on my OP+ is bad. I've tried writing armbian, to multiple micro sd cards (including a new 32GB I just bought), and either doesn't boot, or armbian boots partially, and gets partially booted, and errors with read/write error.
I managed to boot via USB with Armbian, and tried to run nand-sata-install to install to emmc, but it errors that it can only be run from sd card. Is there any way to run nand-sata-install from usb to install to emmc?

According to the specs of the OP PC Plus, it only supports 32GB micro SD. My only 32GB that I have, that I was booting from on the OP PC plus eventually got corrupted, and will not boot, can't format and install armbian or anything. What are my options? Can I somehow boot from a 64GB micro sdcard, or USB from a fresh armbian image write?

I have a Orange PI PC Plus that isn't booting either from sd or emmc. I had really messed up some configuration, so I erased emmc. After I erased EMMC, I started to get this boot screen.

If I insert a sd card in with the latest Armbian, I get no boot screen, or activity at all. In fact, even if I format the card, and insert it into the OP+ it gets no boot activity. It is only after that I remove the card that it can then boot from usb flash.
I ended up writing the latest orangepiplus image to a usb flash drive, and am able to get it to boot via a flash drive. I did backup my microsd install a few months ago with clonezilla. When I boot via USB, and run armbian-config there are no options for EMMC now. Basically, I need a little instruction of how to to get the OP+ to boot from micro sd again.

I've tried both revisions (Bionic and Stretch) for this board located at:
https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-pc/
Both have the same issue. When I boot from sd card, run armbian-config, and attempt to transfer armbian OS to emmc I get an error 'no target'. I know that there is indeed built 8GB flash, because when I pull the sdcard, and power the board it boots into the pre-configured android OS.
Here is a picture I took of the board:

I have one of these boards:

It's kept cool with a heatsink, and fan (30-35c). Currently, I'm running the orange pi supplied version of openwrt. It's a snapshot version, so the kernel isn't compatible with some packages.
My question then is, is there a script out there that can transform armbian into a router, with a firewall, web interface, and easy to use? I'd like to give it a try if such a thing exists.
