I tried that. I rebuild kernel with WIZnet drivers included as module, set them load at boot, but to no avail. 

On Raspberry 4 with Raspbian I set it to work successfully with this guide - https://www.instructables.com/Add-a-WIZ850io-Wiznet-W5500-Network-Port-to-Your-R/
