  1. I've tried the latest CLI and GUI images. I tried different microSD cards but the result is the same.

    Both images get to

    Booting using the fdt blob

    and never progress.

Is there anything I can try to get this working?

Ok, I missed that one. Anyways, installing Buster of Focal with legacy Kernel makes my Rock64 (4GB) to kernel fault randomly and crash, even at start:

I have the same problem with my Rock64. I couldn't get it to boot.

[EDIT]: IIRC, Rock64 has many hardware problems, that is the reason why we don't support it anymore. That can be the cause for the storage failures, probably a faulty SD card reader.

Are there docs about the problems, anywhere?

  3. Hardware: Rock64

    Image: Buster desktop stable4.4.y (Armbian_21.02.1_Rock64_buster_legacy_4.4.213_desktop.img)

I was running mainline and wanted to try this, so I could get acceleration, However, I couldn't get it to boot properly. I see it scanning the installation partition at boot. I get the "welcome to Armbian" boot message and after a few more messages, it goes into kernel panic.

I tried with different SD cards, including the one that was working with mainline.

Tried to set a fixed random mac in /boot/armbianEnv.txt ?

yes this is an issue with newest downloadable buster image, been meaning to fix that but no time yet at hand.

    workaround for classic specification (/etc/network/interfaces)

    auto eth0
    iface eth0 inet dhcp
            hwaddress ether 12:34:56:78:9A:BC

    or set dhcp-client-identifier 12:34:56:78:9A:BC in dhclient.conf (https://linux.die.net/man/5/dhclient.conf)

Thanks for the work-arounds posted here.

I'm using a NanoPi Neo and the latest "bionic" image. This issue is still a problem. Changing dhclient.conf and armbianEnv.txt did not work. Using /etc/network/interfaces was the only way I could get it to work.

  5. Hi,

I just installed the Armbian on a Pine A64+ (Armbian Focal, mainline based kernel 5.9.y).

I'm having trouble getting audio from the 3.5mm stereo output. I've tried several things, including a speaker test:

    speaker-test -c 2 -Dsysdefault:sun50ia64audio

I tried editing /etc/asound.conf but it doesn't seem to affect anything. Do changes to that file apply instantly?

What can I do to test/diagnose the issue?
