  1. Hi, I installed/compiled different browsers that are based on QT (QtWebKit, QtWebEngine). Unfortunately, special characters, often necessary for typing in non-English languages, do not work. E.g. a Spanish accented 'e appears as 00e9 This makes all these really fast browsers with low memory footprint useless for multilanguage writing (e.g. in webmailers). The characters work fine in the terminal and other browsers such as Midori, Firefox and Chromium. Thus, I think, something went wrong in the compilation of QT libraries. Any idea how to solve that?
  2. I installed and compiled varios browsers based on QtWebKit - falkon, konqueror, otter-browser - and they are all pretty fast compared to their chromium/firefox colleagues. Unfortunately, the input of special characters (é, ñ, ü, ß) doesn't work. The letters appear as UTF code. However, the letters are displayed correctly in chromium/midori/firefox, and the console. Thus, I blame Qt. This is very annoying e.g. for webmailing and editing text, since typing in languages with special characters such as Spanish and German is practically impossible. Any idea how to fix that?
  3. Hi, the system seems working normally, but when installing with apt, I get plenty of errors of: dpkg: cannot write to log file '/var/log/dpkg.log': No space left on device Digging into /var/log reveals that the ./journal directory is responsible; with 48 Mb. Any idea how to prevent this? Currently, I just remove the directory below ./journal.
