  1. I returned the box. Crap stuff. I rather pay a bit more and have a nice micro pc firewall from aliexpress than these crappy tv boxes.
  2. Steeman, thanks for your replies. Yeah, the reset button thing is not that hard. I even booted from the usb pen drive. So, no problems with that. Thanks for the clarification anyway. Makes sense to ge the older chips first. I guess the manufacturers sells a crap load of these on China alone. So, they can't care less about the LInux community. Yeah, i was doubting this box really had gigabit. But i had to see for myself Pitty, such a small box would be great for a micro server. Just dhcp, dns, pxe boot server, etc. Anyway, the NIC didn't work no matter what. Probably a different chip than others HK1 boxes. Someone said here the same model can actually have different chips. I'll get myself a fanless mini pc then. A Beelink bt3 pro II probably. Pitty the larkbox from chuwi doesn't have a giabit link, omg... such a cute tiny box.
  3. If anyone has a working dtb for this one, i'll appreciate. How can i see the hardware in the box? lspci returns nothing.
  4. Hello guys, I have a HK1 Box 4GB/64GB with s905x3. I have followed all the necessary steps. Tried using dd on linux or elena on windows. Tried debian and ubuntu versions from https://users.armbian.com/balbes150/arm-64/ Followed this page https://zhangyuqing.cn/2988.html as well as this forum's own page https://forum.armbian.com/topic/17106-installation-instructions-for-tv-boxes-with-amlogic-cpus (same procedure) The blue light just keeps blinking no matter how long i hold the reset button. Any ideas/clues? Is this chip hopeless? Should i get a box with S905X4 or rockchip, allwinner?? I just want a box with gigabit working for a micro server. The shop's page showed this box had gigabit, but iperf3 says otherwise. I would get a raspberry, but stocks are drier than Sahara's desert. EDIT: It boots using this image But no NIC. Just wifi. I'll search how to disable bluetooth, wifi, audio, etc and recompile the dtb file to see if it's helps.
  5. Is there any image i can download without that issue? To see if i can resuscitate it.
  6. I have quit on this board. Temps were reaching 70+ Cº yesterday and even 82º today! Completely iddle. The NIC stopped working. I always used a standard charger or connected it to the router via a usb cable. No idea what might have caused this. To me orange pi is just a low quality clone board. I'll get a raspberry pi when it comes available.
  7. Guys, i'm running version 22.02.0-trunk.0046, from the download page. System load is always above 1. CPU temp is 53º. Is this normal? I have nothing running on it. Completely idle. I notice these processes take the most cpu: systemd-udevd cec thread hdmi proc Is this normal? EDIT: Nothing connected to the HDMI port.
  8. How can i get a serial console cable? I'm very new to this small board world I mean, i suppose it's a kind of usb cable that connects to some of the pins?
  9. I don't have serial console. It works on another monitor tough. I just found it odd it didn't on my main one.
  10. Doesn't boot. Shows nothing on the screen. Light stays red.
  11. It says armbian, but also focal. So is it armbian or ubuntu?
  12. Guys, i'm kind of lost here. Got the board, great stuff. But can how i use armbian with working network card and wifi? Do i have to compile something? From where? With what patches?
  13. Nice, what USB wifi antenna is that? What speeds does it reach?
  14. To truly test the connection speed, better use iperf with another local machine.
