@fabiobassa I readed this site, the problem is i yet don't understand! I thought about buying one on aliexpress, to deliver to you, but there is also the risk of sending another model! I'll stay study, the other(R329Q) is work fine, this is meant to be a backup!

@fabiobassa I already readed so much, and i did dedicate many time, this tvbox and others, my original project was with laptop and netbook's boards, i get the firth tvbox for tests, and was all ok, but each tvbox is different, it has no standard nor support from the manufacturer, i would be better get a orange pi, less problems, I'm thinking of giving up! Here in Brazil, have a popular dictade, it's: " the cheap in the end is expensive" ! But i see many advantages, it's cheap, little volume , internal memory and low power consume! Armbian legay buster working fine with my applications too! If i can buy other igual the firth tvbox, i would ike it! I have some problem, i want see it all work, i want know, understand all, it many times it's impossible, but i insist ! I am very grateful for your dedication! Thank you!

Hi, Can somebody explain boot process of rk3228 tvbox? I know boot linux intel x86 architecture, but this SoC process i don't understand! My box, MXQ_R2B_LP3, boot from multitool sdcard, but don't wotrk any other system in sdcard or installed in internal, memory, same Armbian new versions and legacy, same erased internal memory, only boot from multitool card! I must install in tvbox's memory! I want know what is different in Armbian image and Multitool image! I already so much tests, configurations and experiences, tests all combinations of Leds, memory speed, and others options from tests with armbian-config, armbian-install, rk3228-config and last Armbian release, just the led combinations is changed! For now, don't matter hdmi to work and wifi, already install the multitools image in memory and without sdcard, the multiboot load, and with armbian sdcard load too! The firth way to boot Armbian sdcard that i discovery, was did installed the "nand jump boot" from multiboot card in internal memory with rkdeveloptool! I understand it's so hard without hardware in hands, i stay conformed if just system work in internal memory! Thank you so much!!!!

@sadp, yet not! I have MXQ_R2B_LP3 and it have the same problem! I think that R29 it's look with R2B, but other wifi chip! I'll, for now, use it without hdmi, i want do install armbian in memory internal, yet did't get it!

Hi Joke, the rk3228-config in this version, don't have the important paragraph and just two options, a guess because, i use the Armbian 21.02.1 Debian Buster Legacy 4.4.194! The chip is a 339S0205, wifi iphone 5 module, maybe reused from scrap!

RaptorSDS, I don't need wifi! When exit of rk3228-config, it show this menseger: " Device tree overlays enabled: emmc led-conf1 Wifi chip 02d0:4334 has been detected, but currently it is unsupported "! I saw the post and didn't know of Led and WiFi relation, is did good know thank you!

RaptorSDS, in this board, the rk3228-config have three configure screen, Chipset, Storage and Leds, it don't recognize wifi! In R329Q, have the wifi! I tested both led setup, just leds change!

ilmich, I use AOC monitor VGA, with adapter HDMI to VGA simple. but already used in LG TV 32LK450! The firth tvbox is MX9 5g 4k, board R329Q_V8.0, the segund is MX9 4k board R329q_v3.1 and last is MXQ Pro 5G 4K board MXQ-R2B-LP3_V2.62_220225! The firth work all fine, the segund work but it a very old and not is confiable, already some errors "segment faults" can is memory problems, i don't want use it this way, the third is that don't hdmi work and i want install armbian in internal memory! The android original work all! I want have a board like backup to firth box, and used it to do configs experiences, before put in firth box! fabiobassa, i did backup used the android tools, many files apart, i can zipper and upload, it's ok? What uploda service is better for you? Thank you!

RaptorSDS, I must use debian buster because i use a old program, but kernel can be new, i'll try new kernel versions! I only use the armbian-config to setup in performance mode, max clock, don't configured Leds, and other things. i run now the rk3228-config and only color leds change! It have three leds, blue, red and orange, before rk3228-config, only orange blink, now the blue is on! I don't use GPIO, I use USB port and audio out, Eth and HDMI just to setup, to change configs programs! MattWestB, I tried some boot binarys, some memory address, combinations from card multitool and image original and my image already for use, but only boot from card or USB work! The WIFI don't work, and i don't use and a think better not use! I'll pause for now, but I'll be following the posts! Thank you!

Hi, i want share the experiences with my MXQ_R2B_LP3_V2.62_20225, the picture is the MASKROM pads, in my board i put a switch button to do easy, this board enter in MASKROM mode when hold on jumper in pads and conect USB cabe in compunter! I did so much try, with multitools and rkdeveloptools, I did learn use the SSH terminal, and the board is working but without HDMI, it do boot with Multitool card and i use with ssh terminal, i saved a dmesg log, and xorg log too! What more logs i can get it? I try install Armbian legacy buster, the original and my backup from other board (R329 Ver 8.0 that working fine) and don't boot from card this images don't work, but work it ok in R329, i only get boot from card or flashdrive usb, installing "jump start for NAND" from multitool card and downloading in board with rkdeveloptools! Yet don't understand the rk3228 boot process, i like use the internal memory, i don't know how 'copy' from image or card, to memory and work! I'll use it without video, i understand that is a old problem like the MXQ R29 too! I so much grate for this forum and the dedication of every one that contributed ! Thank you!!! PS: The memory is a "eMCP", code: 7NA92 JYA42, like in R29, I don't found the real name! log.dmesg.txt Xorg.0.log

MattWestB, I'm brazillian! I have a mxq R329 working fine in a project, and wish have other like backup! I don't knew that tvbox have many variations and that it new don't work well, I sould be choice the orange pi or other simples raspberry clone to make project, but i get this used box, from a friend, and start in the tvbox's world! I'll continued to learn, any news, i tell you! Thank you!

Hi MattWestB, thank you for attention! I saw your post, but i need of HDMI, Sound e Eth, i don't use SSH terminal! I wotk with electronic informatic hardware, i know a bit of linux, but the tvbox are very complicate to configure, i want help, if you know where i can learn about boot process, how change configs to setup to hardware correct, i'm grateful!

Hi, I have a MXQ_PRO 4K, new, (mxq_r2b_lp3_v2.62_220225) too! It don't work the multitool, black screen, orange led turn on, in sdcard ou flashdrive! In other MXQ old, RQ329 that work fine, it's configured sdcard, that don't work in the new mxq, black screen and led turn off, what can be this problem? Thank you for help!
