So I finally got a working solution. I just replaced the dab file with the one from this post: https://forum.armbian.com/topic/44964-wifi-setup/#findComment-201441 in the Armbian_24.11.1_Bananapim4zero_bookworm_current_6.6.60_xfce_desktop package. This got my wifi device to show up. Then I struggled with getting a connection to my WiFi. I kept trying to connect to my IOT network and couldn't get it to connect. Then decided to try and connect to my main network and was able to connect. My main broadcasts on both 5 and 2.4 but IOT only on 2.4. It appears that the above patch ONLY connects to 5ghz networks and not either as is stated to be supported by the device. SO I turned on both bands for my IOT network and it then connected. AND my display is now correct, too! Hopefully all these issues will be worked out soon on a stable package with proper wlan support. However, in the short term, this gets me where I need. Thank you, @Werner for directing me back to that thread and getting me to try all kind of iterations.

You can see the difference in the non-working-wifi package vs. the working-wifi-package. Non-working-wifi: Display properly recognized as Audio Processing Technology with 1920x1200 resolution. Several other resolutions listed and can change all the other options, as well. Working wifi: Only shows as Default with resolution 1920x1080. No other options available on resolutions or any of the other settings.

I have gone back and tried the rolling minimal (I did desktop before) once I realized my ethernet/usb dock worked with the BPI-M4Zero so I could get internet access. I then installed XFCE desktop and the Wifi adapter does indeed show up after adding the overlay. However, it will not connect to wifi at all. It keeps asking for password over and over again. I even tried from the CLI and then I get an error "802-11-wireless-security.key-mgmt: property is missing". Tried Google for solutions and nothing seems to work. So, after that long trail, I am back to can someone help me fix the display information on the Banana build?

Yes, I downloaded the rolling release and added "overlays=bananapi-m4-sdio-wifi-bt" to the `/boot/armbianEnv.txt` file, and it got Wifi working. However, the overall rolling package is too heavy for the device. It is very sluggish with this package. Also, not comfortable with the "bleeding edge" of using the rolling update instead of stable. I would just like to get the monitor recognized on the package with working WiFi. I am trying to find driver / monitor info using the non-wifi package and then will try to get it replicated on the Banana package. unless someone knows of a more direct route to solving the issue?

Hoping someone can help me out. When I use the desktop images from the following page: https://www.armbian.com/bananapi-m4-zero/, I get my display properly identified (connected via HDMI) and can change resolution, rotation, etc. However, as with noted in other posts, these do not have WiFi. In order to get WiFi working, I use the image from here: https://docs.banana-pi.org/en/BPI-M4_Zero/BananaPi_BPI-M4_Zero. For my needs, this image works fine with the one exception. It does not detect the display and only shows default with no ability to change settings. I have poked around and tried to find a solution but am coming up empty. Is there some trick to get the display propagated properly with the working-wifi build? Thanks!
