  1. Update: I was right, it is an allwinner system U-Boot 2014.07 (Aug 28 2020 - 08:44:29) Allwinner Technology Mali: ERR: /home/work/share/akrd6/custom_relese/H3_ANDROID7.0_BOX_SDK_V1.0_20190702_eng/lichee/linux-4.4/modules/gpu/mali-utgard/kernel_mode/driver/src/devicedrv/mali/linux/mali_platform.c These where the smoking guns that caught my eye, i will likely install Armbian in this anyhow.
  2. Updade: i tried to flash to memory using a male to male USB "Bus 003 Device 008: ID 1f3a:efe8 Allwinner Technology sunxi SoC OTG connector in FEL/flashing mode" Needless to say, i've been duped, scammed, fooled perhaps. I found a picture of a model exactly the same as that one, and it had a H3 chip, since from what i see Rockchip is best supported by the comunity, i'll give up on this board. Tomorrow i'll do one last update when the USB-TTL arrives, to see if my suspicions are confirmed.
  3. Output of the USB TTL converter or of another chip? the one's I've seen online have 5 pins, but you only mentioned three places for the pins to go to, that is unless the 5v and 3.3v lines aren't needed for this specific use case. For curiosity's sake, what should i expect to see from something like that? I'll need to purchase that, so while it arrives, is there any chance that the CPU simply had an incorrect print, and i need another version of Multitool? Sorry for asking so many questions, just that i have little experience doing this.
  4. I have once again returned to this post in need of assistance. I have recently acquired from my tech wizard father a MXQ Pro 5G 4K TV box, which not even he managed to get working. According to him, its eMMC. Attached are photos of the motherboard, i did some looking at previous recent pages, so i have my suspicions, if someone though knows if this is a false print, or a just a freak motherboard please do tell. The problem itself is that it wont boot to the SD card, sometimes it will boot in sometimes not, but every time it boots if i try to access the files or sd card the Android freezes up. CPU: According to the print, RK3228A If any questions about any other components arise, please circle them in a photo because my knowledge on hardware electronics is limited.
  5. I've already tried both sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade. I can't update because it says that the website linked "apt.armbian, com bionic release" doesn't have a release file. What commands would i specifically need to run to do what you said (Blacklisting kernel, seguenti (?)) Server, something i can ssh into to run some basic websites on nginx
  6. Hello, i have made an account in this forum to ask a few questions on how to install Armbian Like a user above i have a Mxq pro (Recognized it by the motherboard!) however the one i have has NAND memory, as a question do any kernel versions or modern installs support this besides 4.4? If not is there any way for me to upgrade my install from Ubunto 18.04.6 to the newer 22, or switch from Ubunto to Debian. From what i could tell, Armbian is a modification to both of those distros with a different Kernel and a few rewrites, and in theory you can upgrade the Kernel, or the distro, so in theory it should be possible.
