[OpiPlus2 boot from emmc hangs with "Starting kernel..."]

It's working again - i guess chroot to the emmc and rerun of the armbian-config kernel change made it work again, in case anybody else has this problem...

An option "fix boot issues", where all the necessary files are rewritten would be nice - cause the nand-to-sata tool erases the whole emmc.

I've tried to downgrade the kernel with the armbian-config tool, but now the opi+2 hangs while booting from emmc.

 

I can boot via sd card, but i dont know how to fix the problem - please help.

My situation is, that i have "unprepared" images (pi0) from backups and now i wanted to setup a clone.

After writing the clone to the sd card, i could do the preparation steps., but how to enable a service in an offline system?

 

I dont really understand the script, so i dont know which parts of it i need, to bring up the clone (i only need a wifi connection and ssh access).

 

Now, after some try and error, i've manually edited the xradio_wlan.conf file to change the mac address...

I've found the problem:

There is something wrong with the dhcp process between the pi and dnsmasq (on openwrt). After the initial lease, somehow the pi cant renew the ip address afterwards.

A manual "dhclient -r; dhclient" works, so as a workaround i putted the commands in a little script...

 

Uptime is now 4 days (with wifi powermanagement "on")

Mine is rev 1.4.

 

It is already running only on one core with 960Mhz max. (i dont need the performance for the logging and wanted to reduce heat)

Dram speed i left unchanged.

Do you mean the wifi powermanagement?

This is off by default on my pi...i've changed it to on now.

I want to use an OPI zero (armbian 5.31) to log data from a smart meter to influxdb.

 

Everything works, but after 5 hrs i cant ssh into the pi - also, no data is written to the db.

The pi has heatsinks and the temperature is around 53°C.

 

Now i tried it without the logging and after 5 hrs, the pi was again not reachable (i dont know, if it crashed or only the connection went down).

Last try was with a pi lite which showed the same behavior. 

 

What could be the problem?
