  1. I use a Beelink X2 Android TV box with Armbian Stretch mainline kernel 4.19.y Image on a SD Card. If I plug in my SD Card and then the power supply, the LED is purple and after some seconds blue. No picture over hdmi but the num-lock on the keyboard works. The box also don't get an IP over DHCP. No matter how long (1h+) I wait, nothing happens... When I plug in the power supply without the SD Card, the LED is red. The normal standby mode of the box. I can now plug in the SD Card and then power the system on. The LED switches to purple and after sone seconds to blue and Armbian is running fine, no problems. If the system reboots it will run into the boot problem described above. Armbian is great but as long as I can't find a solution it sucks to plug out/in the SD Card all the time the system starts... Tryed different SD-Cards, Etcher and Rufus, other power supply - allways the same problem. The Image SHA256 hash is ok. I wanna boot direct from the SD Card and leave the android on the onboard emmc as it is. I hope someone can give me some hints, but be kind - I have only some basic knowledge of linux. ^^ Thanks
  2. I've been using a Beelink X2 with Armbian for some time now booting from eMMC. I ran an "apt update; apt upgrade" on the box early on 01/14/2018 and a reboot was suggested at the end. The system did not successfully reboot after this update and it appears that it doesn't recognize uboot on the eMMC. At the time I had other pressing matters so I set it aside to work on today. Today I downloaded the latest image Armbian_5.34.171121_BeelinkX2_Debian_stretch_next_4.13.14_desktop.img, verified it and successfully wrote the image to a 16GB microSD card. This successfully booted the X2, I then did an "apt update; apt upgrade" on the microSD card and rebooted. This then resulted in an un-bootable SD card! Something in the latest update is causing an issue with uboot on the X2. I'm now rewriting the original image to the microSD and will attempt to determine what update is causing the issue!
  3. In download section for X2 Beelink there is no image for Server stretch test as advertised on download page, only for desktop. Is it normal ? (tm)

  5. Below are supplementary quotes helpful to asking the question: can CPU presets be made into a desktop shortcut that could allow pre-defined CPU freq settings whether onthe fly or even reboot required? Is so, what would the code be? That's the question I can't answer. I ask because of the two Beelink X2s (one each of Armbian flavors); I'd like to get a hands-on feel for how high the temps can be expected to go. I probably won't be running hot for long, but then again I just received a bag of heat sinks and can also drill holes in the plastic box for better air circulation. QUOTE 1 for reference: Some boards allow to adjust CPU speed. nano /etc/default/cpufrequtils Alter min_speed or max_speed variable. service cpufrequtils restart QUOTE 2 for more reference: S/PDIF requires setting the minimum CPU frequency to 480MHz or higher The 2nd quote is about keeping the lower end high enough to enable S/PDIF output. -edited- no it doesn't have to be a GUI shortcut, but a line of code that can be copy/pasted every time would be every bit as cool.
  6. Hello, How to shutdown or reboot correctly with armbian jessie server 5.25 on Beelink X2 ?
  7. Until the day Armbian can auto-configure HDMI output (with respect to a TV or DVI computer monitor), the thought occurred to me that the Beelink X2 defaults to Android KitKat 4.x, and from there maybe it's possible to plug in the TF card that you'll be rebooting into, then access the card from Android to makes changes, like: h3disp -m 720p60 -d If a DVI-monitor is expected to boot into. I was even brushing up on MIT App Inventor to make presets from Android side, but my skills drop off sharply at that point. The practical reason for his, is not only to show the neighbors but also have a media player anywhere there's a screen. In conclusion, I don't know what makes Android auto-resolve destination video resolution and type, but it would save a lot of fiddling if something similar is incorporated into Armbian images. Armbian otherwise is so amazing I'm grateful to the gentle geniuses.
  8. Lucky me received a Beelink X2 as a gift days ago. I flashed Legacy 3.4.112 to a Samsung EVO and am pretty stoked to see this display on an HDMI TV. It doesn't display to DVI but I saw reference to h3disp, so I have hope this applies. I'd like to incorporate a Traveller mode (I made that up) that can be set so the unit knows monitors are likely to change and find an automatic way for this to detect DVI. I'll also get a cheap USB soundcard and output to a monitor that has a soundbar and avoid SPDIF for a while. That's about it: play tutorials and enjoy what Armbian can do. I can't tell you how blown away I am with this neat little Beelink X2, or how much I'm in awe of the community you've all got going. I'm not up to speed and it may be a while, but I'll be saving my pennies for two more of these for spares and have lots of fun. Hopefully contribute here after I understand what I'm doing.
  9. Hey guys, I was wondering why the Browsers doesnt support H/W Acceleration, now i found out its because the Mali Driver is outdated. I installed also Chromium and forced it to use the GPU, well at least it trys but i got a bunch of errors. Is there a way to add a new Driver? Tried also to compile it myself but i was never that deep into linux and never had to compile drivers, here are the sources: http://malideveloper.arm.com/resources/drivers/open-source-mali-utgard-gpu-linux-kernel-drivers/ I think the current Kernel uses a horrible outdated r3p0 Version and a new one is r7p0, at least r4p0 is needed which should work with Chromium and finally add H/W Acceleration. Or is it not possible because of: If someone knows how to compile it and load it i would be thankful

    Beelink X2 Hdmi Sound

Hello Everybody !!! Armbian works great on beelink (Armbian_5.20_Beelinkx2_Debian_jessie_3.4.112) Just one last thing to reach the perfection : "speaker-test -twav -c2" gives good sound on hdmi But with mpv (and vlc previous version) hdmi sound and video are slowed... With audiocodec and sndspdif it's ok. Is it a known problem ? Is there other way to play sound and video ? cat /etc/modules #gpio_sunxi bcmdhd sndspdif sunxi_sndspdif sunxi_spdif sunxi_spdma sunxi-cir

  17. Hi, I'm trying to make a hotspot with the beelink x2. I have some problems with resume after suspend. So i have a question about the beelink x2. Does anybody know if it is possible to start the beelink after a shutdown with the power-button. If i want to restart it, i have to re-insert the power-cord and the beelink will boot. Button does nothing. Thanks. Erik
