  1. Common issues and peer to peer support have been merged since they mostly cover the same Bugtracker forums for A64 & H5 has been merged with H6 since they share the same board family
  2. For those who have missed it the forums offering various ways to display the contents, mentioning here especially the grid view: To get there simply select it by clicking on the middle button right next to the big red Start new topic: If you don't see pictures make sure you selected our default forums theme. As you will notice we partially have stock images only and some are even still missing. We would really love to see some nice and shiny artwork there as we might put the grid view as new default setting (no worries, the classic look'n'feel will be still availabe ). So if you have some graphics designer skills but have no idea about programming you can still contribute to the project by donating a small amount of your time and create some awesome forum images. Looking forward to your ideas
  3. Invision Community version has been bumped to 4.5.3 Everything is still pretty rough, both at the frontend as well as the backend. Might probably take a few days until everything is in good shape. The good news is that for the most part the forums are usable
  4. tl;dr. The 500€ subscription has been removed. No one took the generosity challenge As a replacement we added a 20€ monthly subscription to attract people who would like to give more than 5€ but 50€ would be too much. Existing Small business subscriptions have been "upgraded" to Angel color-wise.
  5. Besides the good and warm feeling and the donator badge a new, exclusivly for donators available dark theme has been added to the forums. There is a preview attached to this posting. Special thanks to @NicoD for providing the background If you have an active subscription you can select it from the Theme menu at the very bottom of the page. If you do not have one, get it here: https://forum.armbian.com/subscriptions/ Also the white banners with red text mentioning to provide proper logs, contribute code or buy swag and so on will no longer be shown to donators. Last but not least for all users a new editor icon has been added which allows to add inline code: For example you can highlight a command like code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } armbianmonitor within a sentence.
  6. We have moved the forums to a new host with higher availability. Caches may need to be cleared. Hopefully performance will be better as well. Please reply here to report any forum-related issues.
  7. Recently we been finding some very clever spammers who register, make some post(s) that sound at least somewhat on topic, and then come back days or even weeks (!) later and edit them in order to insert spam links. Some examples: Some times they put them alongside otherwise legitimate links: Other times, they sneak them into quotes or lists, etc.: Now, above examples have red background from being deleted (which is not how they will look to you normally) but you get the point. There is no way for us currently to detect this kind of spamming, without enacting draconian measures of moderation, which we are certainly not going to do. So instead we ask for your help. The only way to really find these is to happen upon them while browsing the forum. If you see one, please click on the little flag at the bottom and a Moderator will take care of it. It only takes 2 seconds, and you can help out in keeping the forums a nice and useful place. I also want to mention that something does not have to be Spam, or otherwise "bad" for you to Flag it. Anything that you feel deserves Moderator attention, such as off topic, or a diverging thread that needs to be split up into 2 or more separate topics, etc. can be Flagged. Any forum Member can do this, it requires no special permissions whatsoever. Thanks for your help! Note: This post is geared toward every Member / user of the forums. The corresponding post geared more toward Moderators about how to deal with these kind of posts (once Flagged) can now be found here.
  8. I also like to keep things in order, but forum and this project is too big for me since a long time ago. Keeping this thing organised can only be done together. I appreciate your willingness to do your share! #armbian channel is unofficial for one very banal reason It doesn't have a recording device -> irclogs.armbian.com I tried to fix this once - by reaching out to IRC server staff to acquire OP status which is needed to install a bot, now its years ago, but failed. Then this task simply faded off the radar. It has been more than 25 years since I was installing IRC bots so I also feel a bit rusted doing that ... if you can fix this, #armbian can become official at once and I will also be there more often. Herzlich willkommen!
  9. Forum is getting messy and I am getting more and more complains about. Traffic is going up and we / people are always prone to seek shortcuts. Its already enough that just a few people are posting wrong content at wrong location that forum gets a bad smell. Personally I and those few active moderators can't do more than we already do. We already use all possible technical equipment to limit the spam, but merging/moving wrongly posted topics can't be done by AI. At least not today. Please, take a look - all is written there - and apply: In case you truly want to contribute to this community as a moderator but you don't have enough days or posts require for nomination, please say something at this post.
  10. Thanks for creating a new topic! I am having problems accessing it:
  11. Cosmetic issues may appear during the procedure and fixing them might take from hours to days. Starting early in the morning, backup late in the evening CET. Upgrade from v4.3.6 -> 4.4.3 What's new: https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/440-r81/ https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/441-r82/ https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/442-r83/ https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/443-r84/
  12. Changed posting permission - one need 10 5 posts to post in RK3399 or Allwinner H6 forums.
  13. @lanefu will help around admin duties.
  14. to WIP forums (RK3399 & H6) header to make it more clear about the support level.
  15. Anyone can add announcement, but moderators decide whether its worth to approve it. If there will be too much, this will be limited only to staff and developers.
