  1. On the 20.08.2 Buster release (Kernel 5.8.6) the headphone jack is not currently working. HDMI audio seems to be supported. aplay -L returns only the HDMI audio interface. (sun50i-a64-hdmi) but is not showing the headphone interface (should additionally show sun50i-a64-audio as in other working builds) This is also the case with the current development build (Armbian_20.11.0-trunk.32_Lime-a64_buster_current_5.9.7) A look at the device tree shows “<stdout>: Warning (unit_address_vs_reg): Node /sound/simple-audio-card,dai-link@0 has a unit name, but no reg property” on the first line of the DTS of sun50i-a64-olinuxino, sun50i-a64-olinuxino-emmc, and sun50i-a64-olinuxino-2Ge8G device tree blobs. Not sure if this is a contributing factor. The snippet it seems to be complaining about: simple-audio-card,dai-link@0 { format = "i2s"; frame-master = <0x11>; bitclock-master = <0x11>; mclk-fs = <0x80>; I did some digging and found this patch from a few years ago: https://www.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2018-October/141047.html The only major difference I see between the configuration added by the patch and my current device tree is that hex addresses are specified in place of pointer variables. (i.e. <0x12> vs <&dai> Going on the advice of several forum posts, I tried adding "overlays=analog-codec" to /boot/armbianEnv.txt to no avail. I suspect that analog audio needs to be enabled in kernel configuration.
  2. Hi, usb and emmc is not working for the A64-OLinuXino-2Ge8G-IND board while using the armbian build in dev. Armbian_20.05.0-trunk_Lime-a64_buster_dev_5.5.15 No change to the config of kernel, choosing lime-a64 and no desktop when asked to by compile.sh When compiling, the only choice for lime-a64 has the description: A64 quad core 1GB RAM SoC GBE eMMC Wi-Fi/BT. That doesn't correspond to the A64-OLinuXino-2Ge8G-IND. The image provided by olimex is working, ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/a64-olinuxino/linux/1.latest_images/buster/images/ but when compiling their build i have the same issue and it doesn't correspond to the same version. The result i have when compiling their image (while using ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/a64-olinuxino/linux/README.txt) is this: Armbian_5.92_Olinuxino-a64_Debian_buster_next_4.19.63.img instead of Armbian_5.92.1_Olinuxino-a64_Debian_buster_next_5.2.5.img
  3. So when I try to run the Buster image for Olinuxino64, after the initial U-Boot screen it spends some excessive time with lines Starting version 241 (about a minute or two) Begin: Running /scripts/local-premount ... Scanning for Brtfs filesystems. done. (many minutes. Does it have anything to do with the fact I have some old data on the on-board eMMC?) These appear on the splash screen with armbian logo via HDMI, not on the serial console. When it finally boots, USB keyboard is not working (nor USB in general, dmesg shows nothing when i try to plug/unplug various devices) and the system is very unstable... It took me several times to even run armbianmonitor -u as the system otherways crashed trying to run that.
  4. Hello, I have fresh new board from olimex - olinuxino a64, and tried to install both debian and ubuntu images, but non of them has ethernet working. I already tried to edit dtb file and incread tx-delay-ps, but with no success. Has somebody a functional dtb file for this board? Thank you for any answer!
  5. I just downloaded Olimex Lime a64 Armbian Bionic image. when I try to boot it with my sd card, kernel panics. I am posting full log below. It didn't happen with testing release. Testing release worked perfectly for the same board. 6. Hi All, I am working on project using Qt(IDE), C++(language) and opencv libraries. The board I am using is Olimex Olinux A64. In the project I have a GUI that displays the input from a camera and has various status indicator labels. These labels indicate various states the system is in at any particular instance of time. I load different images in the labels to indicate different states. As of now the trigger to change the image of a label comes from soft buttons written in c++ using the Qt buttons layout. I am trying to find a way to control the change of images in the labels using hardware buttons that are connected to the GPIOs of the A64 board. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Please fell free to comment if my query seems unclear. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance..
  7. [WIP] Schematics Pros: - board vendor actively participates (listens to the community, provides information including schematic and cares about correctness, tries to bridge developer community and chip vendor) - board vendor take care of their board configuration and submit patches - board vendor provides dev samples - yet another A64 - good powering method Cons: - none specific to this board
