jh3141 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Is there any way to get a video player to display subtitles on an H3 board? I've tried VLC and SMPlayer, but neither are able to do so (the problem seems to be that the video output is overlayed *over* the system display rather than mixed with it on a per-pixel basis, so while the subtitles are being displayed by the player, they simply aren't visible). Is there any adjustment/update/other player I can use to fix this problem? Orange Pi Plus 2 I have armbian 5.05 installed, so not sure if there are any updates that might help?
rellla Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 The video output is overlayed over the desktop by masking it with the help of colorkeying and then the whole screen is overlayed by the osd/gui/subtitles because they reside on a separate layer which is rendered on top of all. This all should work with recent libvdpau-sunxi versions and have VDPAU_OSD=1 set. H3 uses pixman for CPU accelerated 2D actions. rellla
