i2c not working on nanopi neo2 / sun50i-h5

Hello, I am trying to get i2c-0 working on my Armbian 20.11.3 Focal with Linux 5.9.14-sunxi64

After I run:

 i2cdetect -y 0

i see a plenty of dmesg errors:

 i2c i2c-0: mv64xxx_i2c_fsm: Ctlr Error -- state: 0x4, status: 0x0, addr: 0x77, flags: 0x0

I have enabled i2c-0 in armbian-config, tried what I could but no luck.

Can anybody told me what mv64xxx_i2c_fsm: Ctlr Error means please?

ls -l /sys/bus/i2c/devices

-> lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Dec 22 13:05 i2c-0 -> ../../../devices/platform/soc/1c2ac00.i2c/i2c-0

The same wiring and installation (with i2c_bcm2708 and i2c_dev) works on Raspberry pi - checked.
